Ok,
Well here is another one of my "TRS" mixes which I did by the way some years ago.
I used the instrumental original from CLTCL and added instead of vocal the guitar to it (since I can't sing at all! haha)
Apart from that I added some trumpets (brass) to it, as well as some clean piano as electric one.
It's in no way perfect, and sometimes I do make mistakes either on guitar or the piano. I added some extra drums to it (which are not that nice since they sound a bit too electronic)
But well it's just a simple try which I never perfected afterwards. Since all my recording stuff is in Holland (I am now in Romania), I can't re-arrange or re-record the parts that might not sound too well
here is the link: link

PS I seem to have a version of "I gues we're falling out" but I dont have it on my laptop. I will ask Bokkepoot (Marco the Hub main operator) to send met that one as well ...
Haven't listened to this yet, internet's slower than a bus full of fools at the moment.
But I tell you this, I'd absolutely *love* to join in with you guys in this stuff, I had plans to put guitar to the a'capella of Let's Turn it On for instance. This has been done, but the fools put in Red Special guitar in A, when the song was actually in G.
I'll tell you what, that is really good! What I think would have been brilliant, is if you could have also done a mix, adding the brass and extra piano bits to the original vocal version. If someone could do that with you, that would be excellent!
Not my thing at all. The only bit I liked was the break part that had some piano where there would be only snaps and vox. The rest? Kinda blah...
Peace,
Adam.
Adam,
I dont need compliments, thats not the reason why i am uploading some of my TRS versions... but your comments dont sound too constructive ...
If you have advice how to improve it would be much more appricated ... Again my version was a "fan" version, and you have all the right to express your opinion ... Just my humble opinion that you could or should add some more "musical" comments to your "review"
Stefan
My comments don't sound too constructive..?
Listen, don't get down about what I'm saying in this thread. In fact, I'm usually one of the very informative people on here that actually takes the time to help improve these things via some mixing tips. But since you can't do anything to it I thought I'd merely throw in my thoughts.
I didn't like it for the most part and there's nothing I can say otherwise.
So, why talk to me about compliments and constructive points? Dude, really, there's no need to post about these things after you see a comment that doesn't help. I understand, but like I said, what else could I do as you yourself pointed out most of its shortcomings already.
Improvements? You said, "...or re-record the parts".
Peace,
Adam.
OK, can I gush a little?
I'm loving this track.
It sounds very video-gamey for some reason.
I get an image of Sonic the Hedgehog trying to hide from Amy Rose for some reason.
Ok I've heard it now.
It's well done, the brass stuff isn't my cup of tea. Your guitar playing is pretty nice motif stuff, but gets a tiny bit repetitive over the 2:45 length of the song (or whatever it is).
But as I said, well put together and well played.
