I've hardly ever known this to happen, but maybe you have...has Freddie ever really embarrassed himself when live before? Maybe tripping up, making mistakes or just generally 'fucking up' in some way?? I've always known him to be a model of perfection... |

ha thats the exact opposite way i look at it, i watch him like a hawk on stage to see if he slips up. unfortunately i havent watched my Queen Dvds for like a year staright (on purpose) so i cant really remember but i do know there were a few times. Oh and i dont watch them for a while so when i feel like watching them again they will be like new |

Wembley '86 DVD, I thought I heard his voice playing up a bit, about three times. But it's barely noticeable. And he got it right back on track of course :) |

he fell over and strained his foot in some concert in the early 80's and had to be carried off. there's a photo of it somewhere... |

He, being such a charming and nice man, didn't want to let the audience down so he came back on stage and did a few songs on piano. |

Not sure if this is what you're looking for (I'm guessing 'bloopers' but I don't know any of those)... on the We Will Rock You DVD from the Montreal concert, Freddie was trying so hard to get the crowd up and involved (what a dud audience they were). During Jailhouse Rock, he seemed really frustrated and shouted to them, 'Move it, you f***ers!'. A second later, he turns and it seems like Brian called him, because Freddie then scooted right over to him. I don't know what they talked about but it looked like Brian may have reprimanded him. I know Freddie was known for his colorful language, but that's how this seemed to me. Kind of funny. Worth a rewind. :-) The best part is Freddie's expression when he turns and looks at Brian. It's a split second but it seems natural, not part of the show, like a reaction from Freddie the man, not Freddie the performer. Does that make sense? |

One more... same concert... During Love of My Life, Freddie and Brian are alone on stage, naturally, and Freddie's singing, but the audience ISN'T joining in!! Between lines, Freddie says, "Guess you don't know it, huh?" And Brian snickers. :-) |

I always got the idea that Freddie was going along with the song in the Montreal 81 version of Love of my life and not actually telling the people in the audience that they didnt' know the song. He sings "Don't take it away from me because you don't know what it means to meee... you don't know it..." It seemed to me like a follow up to the previous line in the song and not an actual comment to the audience. But now that you mention it, it could be true. It seems like that was a particulary crappy audience. Too bad that the best video recording of a Queen gig (as in the best picture quality, since it was recorded in film) had to be from a below par gig. :S Wiley |

During the time that Brian called Freddie over to him Brian wants to keep going and Freddie says 'No, were going to end it'. I love that song and the way they did it. I remember them doing it when I had seen them back in 1980 and the crowd went absoulutely wild!!! |

You're good. :-) I just watched it again and you're right. I wonder why Brian wanted to go on. I'm pretty sure I know why Freddie wanted to end it. That crowd wasn't exactly enthusiastic. |

Didn't Freddie mess up the words to "We Will Rock You" at that same concert? Sang the same set of words twice, or something. I *loved* hearing "Love of My Life" in *that key* without audience participation. I know, I know - bad fan. |

Not sure which show, but while sitting on the stage(holding the mic), Freddie loudly farted. The sound echoed throughout the audience as Freddie announced,"I just had to let that one out, dears." |

On Wembley '86, Freddie has some rather weird lyrics to "Give Me Some Lovin'." I don't know if he forgot the words on that one. |
