Hi, I've searched the forum for this and I could only find one rather old link to this gig which doesn't work too well. So I decided to offer you a torrent file of this complete concert, that I consider to be one of the better queen gigs of that most enjoyable period. Sound quality is VG+ (though a bit sharp and lacking bass). Sadly some of the songs have drop-outs, very annoying in some parts. Still it's superior to the concert one day later (9.12.1980), both performance-wise and sound-wise (by far!). Please refrain from asking for FLAC, Rapidshare or setlist – look for that at link. Bye, Nummer2 |
Sithmarauder 03.02.2006 05:22 |
Okay, no FLAC,no setlist,ummm, can we ask for seeding? = ) |

By the way, I noticed on my last 3 Announces, my Torrent started off really slow and picked up later. This may have been the case with your torrent too. Have a great weekend! |

Yeah, have a great weekend you all, I will see now if that works for me...and thanks for the set list anyway;))) |

Sorry, just Queen concerts, and not too many. I'm searching for some more myself. My goal is to have any available gig from 1977 to 1982, mp3 would be okay for me. Strangely I only listen to live Queen in my car and at work. Can't help it, but at home the bad sound quality – compared to studio – annoys me ;-) |
mustaphaibrahim 03.02.2006 14:55 |
well, im one of the few people who will trade mp3 recordings, so id be very happy to trade if i have anything you want. :) |

Thanks for the concert. Just finished downloading. I will seed for as long as possible :) |

I can't listen to the concerts on my stereo because they sound bad. Have you listened to the official releases on DTS surround? Awesome, totally awesome. BoRhap never sounded better! I will see what concerts I have from the years you mentioned and torrent one that's hasn't been shared here lately. |

@ mustaphaibrahim: I took a look at your site – and indeed there's a concert I don't have and that made me curious. It's the one from Tokyo on April 4, 1976 (Nichidai Kodo). If it's at least 128 kB/s I would kindly ask you to seed it! I'm no trader, just like to swap interesting files here on Queenzone so that everybody has access to it. Of course I can offer you something in return, but preferably by sharing it on Queenzone. Here's part of my Queen list (I have some more at my office, can't remember everything): Golders Green 1973 (MP3) Birmingham 1973 (MP3) Bristol 1973 (MP3) London (Rainbow) 31.3.1974 (MP3) New York (Uris Theatre) 1974 (MP3) Shizuoka 1975 (MP3) Tokyo (Budokan) 1975 (MP3) Kobe 1975 (MP3) London (Hamm. Odeon) 1975 (MP3 complete incl. radio intro+outro!) Osaka (evening show) 1976 (MP3) Glasgow 1977 (MP3) New York 2.12.1977 (MP3) Dallas 1978 Vienna 1978 (FLAC) Copenhagen 1978 (MP3) Toronto 1978 (MP3) Montreal 1978 (MP3) Chicago 1978 (MP3) Tokyo (Budokan) 1979 (.mpg Video) Paris 1979 (MP3 and Video) Frankfurt 1979 (MP3) Berlin 1979 (MP3) London (Hamm.) 1979 (MP3) Newcastle 1979 (MP3) London 9.12.1980 (MP3) Frankfurt 1980 (MP3) Sao Paulo (Morumbi) 1981 (MP3) Stockholm 1982 (MP3) Leiden 1982 (MP3) Nagoya 1982 (MP3) Fukuoka 1982 (MP3) Birmingham 1984 (MP3) Osaka 1985 Tokyo 1985 Dublin 1986 (MP3) Stockholm 1986 (MP3) Mannheim 1986 (FLAC) all BBC files (1972, 73 and 77) and loads of studio demos. I'm willing to share everything with you via Queenzone, but be patient, it may take some time. Desperately searching for Glasgow 1979 (not even sure if there's a bootleg)! Bye, Nummer2 |

@Sithmarauder: To be precise, some of Queen's concerts show such a grade of enthusiasm (mainly Freddie's) and are so – how do you say in English? ... captivating? Capturing? ... that I forget about the sound quality. Especially London 79, Frankfurt 80 and Sao Paulo 81 – my favourites – I like to listen to at home. But since my wife hates Queen (don't get upset – everything else about her is nice) I can't do that very often. And no, I haven't listened to recent Queen releases yet. Once I owned all the albums in vinyl but I gave them away (young people do silly things...). I know I have to get some of (hmmm... all?) the albums in top digital quality. But at the moment I'm into the live thing. |

But at the moment I'm into the live thing.I think captivating is the right word, I listen to maybe 2 or 3 concerts with sound quality on my stereo at home (Hammersmith 75 come to mind). Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as you, my wife, though she does like a couple of Queen songs, can't handle listening to Queen everyday. She get's a bit crazy when she hears songs on commercials or when American Idol contestants sing them. She's been forced to listen to Queen since BoRhap was released. My 3 children like to watch Queen concerts(especially during the singalongs). As far as digital is concerned, at least you will have something to look forward to, Queen music was made for surround sound and it's an awesome experience. Hope you get to enjoy it one day soon. By the way, my next torrent will be made with your concert list in mind. Maybe I have something you don't have yet like Leeds 82. |

Apparently, there is an upload limit set in your client by default. Just set your upload to unlimited and the seeding will resume. |

Number2, I read that you have BBC archives of Queen. Do you think you can upload those sessions? (72,73, 77) I would be extremely grateful :D, as I am sure other will be. :) |

Okay, I'll see if I can do today. But they're only MP3 and some of the files are in mediocre quality only. I don't know if there are better versions around. But anyway, eventually look into the announce forum, maybe I will post them there. |
