In music last Friday we were listening to Queen. When Bohemian Rhapsody came on my friend goes ''Eleanor what hell is Bohemian Rhapsody about?'' Me:Who knows? r:Well you should know coz your like the BIGGEST Queen fan I know. So what the hell is it about? Me:Ronan I have NO idea. But if you really want to know then bring Freddie Mercury back from the dead or something like that... R:But you have like EVERY Queen album so you should know..Did Freddie Mercury really kill a man?..Whats a fandango?....Was Freddie Mercury on something when he wrote the song.... This went on until the teacher told him to shut up. Has any non Queen fan asked you questions like these??????? |

Non-Queen fans as well as avid Queen fans ask strange questions. Though the avid Queen fans usually ask in a whisper. ;-) I tell everyone BoRap is about an underprivileged kid caught in the 'justice' system. Who knows for sure, but it makes sense and everyone thinks I'm a genius for figuring it out. I simply say, "Oh, no. Freddie was the genius for putting it out there for all to see. Just open your eyes." hehehe. |

I keep it simple: 1. Friends go through a rigorous Queen training course, the final of which is sitting through MOTBQ 10 consecutive times, a 'pass' being retention of one's sanity, an 'ace' being "Let's hear it again!" 2. Questions about the group are answered in two ways: a) intelligent questions are answered with "Three syllables - 'in-ter-net', now fuck off and educate yourself!" b) ignorant questions are answered with a sharp twisting back and to the left of the ignoramus' head and disposal in the nearest dumpster. Please feel free to adopt my philosophy, as it will, in the long run save you much frustration, not to mention the futility of trying to bring light to the bulbless. |

Here is an incident that happened only yesterday: I was walking down the street with my fleece open so as to display the entire coloured crest on my Queen T-Shirt and I met the Boasills Neds (or the Boasills Crew, as they are otherwise known) coming the other way. One of them, named Jordan, says to me "Queen! Queen are great!" I said "Yeah, I know." Then I stopped him and said "Are you a Queen fan?" and he said "Yeah, I'm a huge Queen fan" so I said "Name a Queen album". He said A Night At The Opera. Fair enough. So I said "Name a Queen song not on the Greatest Hits Collection". He couldn't. So then I said "Name any five Queen songs". He managed BoRhap and KQ. Not even Under Pressure, AOBTD, WWRY or WATC! In fact, when I told him WWRY and WATC were Queen songs, he didn't believe me. He tried to convince me Queen had covered them and that WWRY was a 5ive song and WATC was a U2 song, for some reason. This goes to show how bloody stupid people can be. Why tell lies like that? It won't get you anywhere and you'll be found out. "Oh, yeah, I'm a Queen fan. I can name two of their songs." Which is something my brother could do (and he's 4.) P.S. My brother loves WWRY and asks me to play it all the time. |

Another classic mistake by the dumb is this one: People assume "Queen" is a name for Freddie's alter ego. Like the radio station around here, after playing a Queen song will say "There was AOBTD by the great Queen, Queen tragically passed away in 1991 of Aids, becoming rock music's first major casuality." Hello.....dumb ass...."Queen" didn't die in 1991. As if they were all in a plane crash or something. Or I have played concerts before for people.....there is always that intelligent one in the room that elbows the person beside them when Freddie comes out and says "there he is, there's "Queen". Sometimes people are even more dumbass then they look. |
Winter Land Man 08.04.2006 02:42 |
aroudn here people base queen's popularity on freddie alone and my radio station plays MANY MANY queen songs, rare ones too, and im in the usa, but they introduce the songs as (Example) "and here's Freddie Mercury and The Boys with ONE VISION"... all credit to Freddie and 'The boys'... they know it's Queen (says so on the labels they got), but too much credit to Freddie so people who are just getting into classic rock might think Freddie wrote all the songs, or, thinks that's the bands name or something. Also a lot of people consider Freddie the writer of all Queen songs, but still, I know a lot of Queen fans. I seduce people to like them... play a lot of rare stuff (non-singles). |

Stupid questions have to be answered in a stupid way, so people will understand that they ask stupid questions. 'Who's that one in Queen with the moustache?' The greatest singer that ever lived. ''All of Queen are gay right..'' For you ,yes, but for the rest of the world, no. No not exacly for the rest of the world, is for the rest of the intellegent world. 'Who are Queen'?. They are the people that tell you, that you are stupid. "Do you know The mama-mia song"? O yea, wasn't it about your neighbour, who sang it as he was watching from his house through your bathroom window, as your sister was taking a bath. "Once my friend asked me if Queen were a girl band" Ya, you were their leader. "Aren't Queen all dead?" Actually no, only their singer died becouse he had the taste to fuck men and women. Ewww.. For you is ugly becouse you are a moran. Everybody can choose what they want to be. He wanted that and he was not scared of what will people think of him. That is what people's problems are they discriminate others for what they are, which makes me suck. "Hey that song is from Vanilla Ice! are they copying ice ice baby?" Again you prove that some Americans are people that are more stupid then monkeys. Ya Vanilla Ice is a new band, how the hell will a band that ended 15 years ago will copy that song from a modern group. "Gay, right?" "Dead, right?" Does it matter if he is gay or not. You don't have feeling for others except for your self and that is why everybody hates you. "How old is Freddie Mercury now?" 46 in earth years and 14 in heaven years. "Who is Queen?" That is the right question and when you get the answer correct you will be able to go to high school. "Bohemian Rhapsody" was about AIDS. Yes and Tie Your Mother Down is about Osama ben Laden. "Why do you like queen? What's the point in listening to somebody who's dead?" To remember their songs and achievements. That question is so stupid. Elvis is dead but the world stull listen to his music. The Beattles are gone but their fame is still in people's hearts. So nobody is dead till people stop believing in that person. "I didn't know the Queen could sing." O yes, she wrote songs as you are so stupid that I can't tell it in your face and my favorite get away from me moran. This is for know if there are some other stupid question tell them. |
