Fantastic. I love the 80's video stuff to do with Queen - this was when I got into them. I hope to upload a few snippets myself in a few days - I just need to find them amongst my "towers" of vcd's. Steve |

I only now just noticed this and would love to see it but no one currently seems to be seeding. Could someone please seed this? thanks |
| billycat 15.03.2006 11:06 |
thanks to whoever helped out. My d/l finished this morning. Haven't watched all the clips yet but great see FM from that era. I actually vaguely remember seeing that second clip way back when it was originally aired. It brings back lots of memories of being young and having weird ideas of what these rock star type people were all about. Kind of funny story that just came to mind. I remember when I first noticed Queen, which was I think the We Will Rock You video, probably around 1977, I thought that Freddie reminded me of John Travoltas character on the show Welcome Back Kotter (Vinnie Barbarino) lol. Something about his look and the attitude in the WWRY vocals. I don't know, seems pretty absurd to try and make that connection now but it made enough sense back then. It's funny the way a 6 year old views the world. Imagine Freddie in Saturday Night Fever and Grease instead of JT...heheh. |

Billicat, now you're done, would you be so kind to seed this for a while?. Thanks, |
| billycat 15.03.2006 11:25 |
of course. I'm currently seeding quite a few Queen related things that I've found thru this site. I try and leave them up for awhile after they complete or until traffic slows down. |

I think he said he's working on several things. :) I trust that this will be one of them? I hope? :) |
| billycat 15.03.2006 14:38 |
We just had a service guy come out and connect our phones to our internet. I had to shut the computer down while he was doing his thing. I don't know why but this torrent seems to be going very slow. Earls Court and Uniondale 1977 have been moving pretty fast so it's probably not a firewall issue or anything like that...at least not on my end. Anyhow for the most part it'll be up and running for the next few days or so. |
| beautifulsoup 15.03.2006 14:49 |
(any chance of rapidshare?) |
| billycat 15.03.2006 16:38 |
I put the first three interviews up on rapidshare in one large 97mb file. link Would it have been better to put them up seperately? Let me know what would be prefered and I'll try and get the rest of them up within the next day or two. This is actually my first time uploading anything to rapidshare so I'm still figuring things out. |
| diegomercury666 15.03.2006 17:38 |
please upload all the interviews on rapidshre |
| inmsthebest 15.03.2006 18:25 |
Thanks, Billycat, I'm still at 0%:((, but I hope tomorrow I can get som percentage of this torrent downloaded. Thanks.:)) |

(Because of my being on dial-up). <<whine>> Also because I have a tendendy to lose my connections on these really long downloads. <<whine>> And...a question...when asked whether I'd like open, save, and to what file, it says that this is an unknown file type... (?) It is wmv, or something else...? Would love wmv. Sheesh - I'm so demanding. Thanks! |

I got one more interview up for ya. 8 to go link I have to go out for awhile but I'll get the rest up over the next couple days. I will also keep the torrent running. The first file I uploaded was compressed into a .rar file which can be opened with a program called Winrar. The videos themselves are .mpg (mpegs) files. They should play in most players I would think. I don't know how to reformat them. happy to help out thanks again to the original poster |

~~~sigh~~~ Sure enough - after **7 hours** of downloading that first huge file, I lost my connection - at 94%. I guess I'll try again tomorrow. Can anyone make that first huge file smaller? Separate them? I'm so frustrated... Thanks. |
Thanks for sharing. I am having a problem with several torrrents though, including this one. When I open this torrent in my client, I get the following message. ERROR (03/16/06 00:32:55) - Problem connecting to tracker - (10060, 'Operation timed out') Is this on my end? I'd love to see this. Thanks if anybody can help. |
| billycat 16.03.2006 11:42 |
alright, I got another 5 uploaded link link link link link Beautifulsoup, maybe try and d/l that first large file again and let us know if you have any better luck with it. If not then I guess I'll eventually re-up those first three again seperately. |
| beautifulsoup 16.03.2006 11:48 |
Thanks. I'm downloading something else right now, so won't be able to try again until later...I'll start sometime around 4:00 pm Stateside EST, and let you know. :) (For clarification...I'll start about 4 hours and some change after the time of this post). |
| inmsthebest 16.03.2006 12:56 |
Thanks for that, Is the torrent not working thn? I will try if so to download the rapidshare files youposted later.:) |
Then all of the suddent just now I notice that this one has sped up to around 35 kbs. Not sure how it will act on your end but I'll keep it up and running for most of the day and evening. |
billycat wrote: Beautifulsoup, maybe try and d/l that first large file again and let us know if you have any better luck with it. If not then I guess I'll eventually re-up those first three again seperately.Okay. First large file successfully downloaded. Now - maybe a stupid question. How do I get this winrar program? Can it be downloaded from somewhere on the web? ETA: I just looked, and I'm clueless as to where to start. |
| billycat 17.03.2006 11:21 |
here are the final three interviews. link link link as for where you can find winrar. It's all over the net as it's a geneally commonly used program but here's one of the first links for it that I found link It's similar to Winzip, if you're maybe familiar with that one. These programs (winzip and winrar) are usually used to split up very large files into smaller parts but also they can be used to compress files which is what I did here with that first large file. I have found stuff from this site that is in either .rar. or .zip files so I just assumed it was a more commonly known format. I don't know how to offer a short explanation of how to extract these files using Winrar but once you install it, it mostly just does everything itself. It can be a little confusing at first but search the help files on how to "extract" files and hopefully you can figure it out. Anyhow, glad to hear that you were eventually able to d/l that first large file so now I don't have to re-upload them again. :-) ...enjoy |
Thanks, billycat. Still working on downloading the interview files. 7 down, 5 to go. :D |
| inmsthebest 20.03.2006 07:46 |
Thanks a lot Billycat, I finished downloading yesterday and have been seeding since then. Thanks a million times:)) |
| billycat 20.03.2006 12:04 |
excellent. thanks for the update. I noticed that this torrent, as well as a few others, suddenly became a lot more active yesterday so I guess whatever problems were going on with the trackers got fixed. There seems to be a few others still d/l'ing this so I'll keep seeding for a little bit longer as well. ..and once again, thanks to Zeni for originally setting up this torrent |
| beautifulsoup 20.03.2006 17:36 |
Hey, billycat. I finally got them all downloaded. It took a long time - and plenty of broken connections which meant I had to try files 2,and in some cases, 3(!) times before I could get them But totally worth it. Thanks again, |
| billycat 20.03.2006 17:50 |
considering all the great stuff I've found here at QZ these last couple weeks I'm more than happy to help a few people out. |
