Wow!
I know that being Queen's new vocalist, I might have a more inspired sense to like and show interest in Paul's career. That being said, this guy fucking rocks!!!
I knew Bad Company was pretty good(Queen + PR covers being consistently better) but what I didn't know or expect was that, in my opinion, Free is better! I finally got the 'Fire and Water' album and it is the shit! It's one of those albums that you really won't like as much until you have heard it 3 or 4 times. This guys in truly awesome and I am honored and greatfull that he sings now for Queen. It's nothing like Queen, but it's quite good stuff. Amd all favortism aside, it truly is his vocals that are the most interesting about this band. I will buy the 7 dollar album(the one that starts off with Wishing Well, whatever it is) so that I am more familiar. This guy is greater than I thought!
For the record, my personal 'Man Of The Year 2005' award goes to Paul Rodgers for bringing my band back with style.
Go Q + PR!!!!!!
I only agree that he isn't a part of Queen. He is an alteration and extension of Queen. A musical twist that is necessary to bring them back. My thought is: If you like Paul like me... Congrats! Queen is back in a new form. If you don't like Paul... Then you should treat the tour the same way you treated the past 19 years. Just listen to your albums and be happy that the rest of us are jamming with Queen 2.

Very well put :D

I personally rate this album as my 4th / 5th favourite album of all time!!! It's all the time growing on me- songs like Mr. Big or heavt Load are just BRILLIANT. The album... Put it this way- "All Right Now" is the least exciting song on it!!!! Imagine how good the rest is...
PS
As for snowflakey (or sth)- you're a fucking moron.
Paul Rodgers rocks. If you didn't get goosebumps hearing "Reaching Out" blend into a crashing version of "Tie Your Mother", there's something terribly wrong with you (as a fucking Queen fan). I absolutely can not wait to see Paul and the boys live in Georgia. I completely agree with the first post of this thread.
That having been said, let me just say that I am more than sick of hearing the ranting and raving of anti-Paul Queen "fans". If you don't care for Paul and are under the impression that Queen died in 1991, keep it under your hat. Don't rain on everyone else's parade. We're all well aware that Freddie Mercury died, that Paul is not really the lead singer for Queen and that Queen was and always will be Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Brian May. However, what we are left with is Queen as they are now. No Freddie. No John. Paul Rodgers, along with other musicians, is merely filling the shoes of those no longer present. Paul has given Brian and Roger whatever motivation neccessary to continue the Queen legacy. I am very thankful for him, simply because I seriously doubt Brian and Roger would have toured without fusing Paul into the mix.
I saw Brian and Roger perform as Queen (pre-Paul) in September of 2004 at the premiere of WWRY in Las Vegas. Previously, I'd never seen the boys live. Certainly there was no Freddie, but the spirit and the rocking sound of Queen came through loud and clear. The performance was astounding. Loud. Brilliant. Paul merely adds to their brilliance, if you ask me, and perfectly compliments the Queen sound.

Sad prick who's stone deaf. Queen + PR can rot in hell. Form your own fucking band and leave the name Queen alone. Freddie WAS IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE QUEEN NO FREDDIE = NO QUEEN. BRIAN AND ROGER GO JOIN TRAVELLING WILBURYS THEY ARE A FEW BAND MEMBERS DOWN.
PAUL RODGERS CANNOT SING AND HAS SOLD NO RECORDS AND HAD A VERY MINOR HIT WITH "ALL RIGHT NOW".
ROBBIE WILLIAMS WE LOVE YOU.
The use of the name "Queen" for this band is a business decision. "Queen" is more than a band, it is a brand and identity. The current lineup will sell more tickets under the name Queen than it would if it called itself the Brian May Band, Gerry and the Pacemakers, or The Firmer.
Reprising "Queen," especially after Brian and Roger said they would not (albeit back in 1991), probably doesn't sit right with most of us, but it's THEIR call.
