Hi, I recorded this today to check my new guitar and I thought, maybe you wanna give me your comment on this. Hope you like it. It's recorded with a digital camera, that's why the quality isnt the greatest. link |

Daniel vZ 11.01.2006 17:15 |
Wow!, looks good :) |
deleted user 11.01.2006 17:59 |
That was SO GOOD!! You copied my guitar though, I have stars instead of circles, little jocker, but very good! *claps* |
KingMercury 11.01.2006 19:07 |
great!!!!!! very well played! it's not easy to play a queen song, and you did it fucking well keep uploading queen songs played by you!! |
killerqu33n 11.01.2006 19:17 |
WOW!! AWESOME!! You must have practiced a lot...well done! Queen truly inspires people to achieve many things.... I wanna play like that ;) |
Queen T 11.01.2006 20:18 |
Damn...that was stellar! Teach me to play like that! :) Actually, you should send that clip to Brian; I think he would be blown away... |
Sithmarauder 11.01.2006 20:19 |
Bravo! I'd love to hear a soundboard recording of your playing! Nothing more I could say. I think the rest of the responses in this thread says it all. |
Dreamers Ball 11.01.2006 21:13 |
I think it's great - much better than I can manage. Well done. |
MercuryArts 11.01.2006 22:20 |

john bodega 12.01.2006 01:37 |
Can we make this the 'guitarist-submit-themselves-playing' thread? I wanna put me up too! In fact, I'd love it if we could hear all guitarists at the forum put something up, doesn't have to be video, but I really dig this! By the way, original poster - you rock man. Just one question, why not have the song going on in your headphones? I want to hear more you, less CD. :D I'll upload something soon. |
bananawig 12.01.2006 05:23 |
That was really really wicked dude! I can't even play it that well on my air-guitar!!!Nice one! |

Apparently a tough song to play, that one. Great job though. Nice sound, technique looks good too. What i like about it is that it wasn't a direct copy of the original. The whole idea is to make a song sound like your own, even if the changes are slight. Keep the practising up, and if your not in a band already you damn well should be. Matt. |

Arright, here I am. It ain't my best, but the cyclone up north threw some unexpected January rain on our fine city today and the air is humid as heck. I elected to leave a few mistakes in as well, no sense trying to edit these things out. And also, threw a delay effect on where appropriate :D Make sure you've got either headphones or a nice set of speakers on at that bit. link |
Daz85 12.01.2006 07:53 |
That was sweet :-O Run's back to own guitar... Keep it up! More videos please! |
john bodega 12.01.2006 08:21 |
If we get a singer, a bassist, and a drummer to contribute clips - heck, we can make a whole song together. Wouldn't even have to work hard to make a music video, it'll all be there! :D |
polarboots 12.01.2006 09:15 |
GREAT RIFFs and great Work absolute come on more videos please i see the song Dont Try so Hard in another video clip Great JOB |
picotto 12.01.2006 09:26 |
Thanks very much for all the comments! Feels good :) Actually, this is the only Queen song I can play, as I'm a Bon Jovi fan (dont hit me). I have some albums of Queen and love the music very much, but I havent spend some time in learning more songs than I want it all. I will get a real camcorder in a few weeks, maybe I will record this song again in better quality. |
Daz85 12.01.2006 10:52 |
Ahh BJ is another of my favourite bands :-) Wouldn't mind seeing a few clips of you playijng some their hits! Born To Me My Bay would be cool... |
john bodega 12.01.2006 12:10 |
2 clips so far... come on people, I hear a lot of talk about guitar, I want to see some clips! Borrow a camera if you have to! Upload! Upload! I might do another one tomorrow, who knows. |
Zander05 12.01.2006 13:34 |
I could sing!!! Ooh! Pick me! That sounds AWESOME by the way :-) Keep up the good work! If there were any flaws, I missed them because I was really enjoying myself. |
Localboy80 12.01.2006 14:11 |
Johnny Knoxville would be jealous! :-) Great stuff, mate! Keep it up! |
ranto 12.01.2006 15:13 |
Great idea for thread. I'm gonna try upload soon. picotto : very nice, good clear playing. really enjoyed listening. zebonka : I guess you've not played as long. Good effort, but quite messy in parts. (Feel like Simon Cowell.) |
Rick 12.01.2006 15:17 |
Nicely done. :-) |
maybri 12.01.2006 15:45 |
You are playing great. How much time needs to play this solo in that perfect way? Respect! Let us see some R. Sambora solos ;o) |
john bodega 13.01.2006 00:40 |
"I guess you've not played as long. Good effort, but quite messy in parts." Sort of... I've been playing since I was 8. :D Nah the problem is, I can get it right, but ah... get a little nervous in front of cameras. That and the strings were as wet as hell (high humidity). Mainly just playing to have fun in that clip. |
john bodega 13.01.2006 00:41 |
"I could sing!!! Ooh! Pick me!" I may have been half kidding, but seriously - I reckon if we all contribute something we could put a cobbled together song on the Stage of Champions or something. Or at least make a funny video out of it. :D |
john bodega 13.01.2006 01:04 |
Damn edit button won't work... :( I reckon Tie Your Mother Down would be a good one to play with. Either that or I Want It All. |
picotto 13.01.2006 03:12 |
I've been playing since 14 years. Sure I will post more videos if that's appreciated. I will probably record some more Queen tunes in a few days. |
picotto 13.01.2006 07:51 |
Here's a short part of Tie Your Mother Down: link |

Awesome I'll check these out soon |
john bodega 13.01.2006 12:03 |
"I've been playing since 14 years." Sorry to ask, but does that mean you've been playing since you were 14, or you've been playing for 14 years? |
picotto 13.01.2006 12:15 |
for 14 years, since I was 11 :) |
john bodega 13.01.2006 23:29 |
Oh I see! :D Aha! Edit is working again. Anyone here have a bass? Let's record TYMD. :D |
john bodega 14.01.2006 00:44 |
"Johnny Knoxville would be jealous! :-) Great stuff, mate! Keep it up!" ... are you kidding? He'd blow us out of the water! NICE sound on Tie Your Mother Down piccotto. I gotta say I love the sound you're getting out of your guitar. I had a Xoom that gave me a nice Red Special once (think the solo of Somebody To Love) but it died :( |
