Right, hear me out. If 'jedi' can be made into an official religion by so many people writing it on the census... Then could'nt we make Queen a religion? Queenianity or something? I've thougth about this for a while (because i have too much time on my hands) and i think if we get enough people then we could do it! if you have any ideas for like religeous realted things we could 'queen-ify' then post it on here and lets get it started! i have a few ideas already name of religion - Queenianity holy book - The Holy Queeble Religious holidays- Band members brithdays this is all ive come up with so far. If you don't agree then dont bother posting |

I don't think Roger would be overly impressed! |

Just what we need - another bloody religion! Roger - "it tends to fuck people up!" Peace, Adam. |

I agree with Thomasquinn. Is this chick serious? Queen is about music, musicianship and entertainment. Not about Religion, politics or the fucking peace process that isn't working. These are reasons why our world is so fucked up! And now you want to make it a religion? Give us a break! And would become a loyal Queen nun? Sister Mary Delilah. |

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of religons, It's a bit false, most parts of it, for example the bible and all that, that you must do everything what God and the bible says, I'd agree with Roger there, it tends to fuck people up. But still, I think a religon also is something that you get strength from, and can rely on and so on, and that is what Queen is to me. So perhaps it's already like a religon for me, in some aspects. Haha, but, yeah, as a joke a Queen-religon would be great :) The song-lyrics could be our bible. :) |

It's an interesting idea, sure, but I don't have much respect for people who call themselves Jedis, and I don't really want that to happen to us. Besides, I don't really see how it would be very different from what we do on Queenzone already. Ideas: Vicar: Richard Orchard God: All Four Queens Jesus: Paul Rodgers Holy Ghost: Fatty Satan: BPP |

| DreaminQueen 11.01.2006 18:08 |
lol about previous post and the transvestitism. But no. Ive come to a conclusion, i dont believe in religion. I believe in God and have some minimal faith in a higher being. Because if you believe something out of the ordinary in your own religion, then its considered wrong or heresy. For example, i am a Catholic, but i dont go to church often, and dont follow everything written in the Bible, especially if i dont agree with it... But i really dont believe in being a hypocrite and going to church all the time etc and going through the motions because you're suppose to. Do it because you feel it. Well, ive got more to add, but ive got to be off right now, so ill continue later... ADDED: Example: Catholics by definition dont believe in reincarnation. I do. I think that being reincarnated, is your purgatory, a chance to do some more good in the world to help get to heaven or you keep coming back until its your time to be accepted to heaven. Almost like the Hindu's but not quite. You know the whole Dharma, Karma, Varna deal. But anyway, i think its all in personal beliefs. And yes, sometimes religion does F**k people up. And theres other things as well, but im sure no one wants to hear me ramble on on my beliefs. |

I have my own type of religion. I have this huge poster of Freddie in my bedroom, with these smaller ones, kinda like a shrine. I pray to him every night. :) |

So Roger doesn't practice any religion then? I've been wondering that till I read that quote. |
| Hooligan's Holiday 11.01.2006 20:51 |
This topic makes sense. At least half of us worship Queen and all that involves them, and me and a few of my friends have taken to praying to Freddie rather that any god when we are having a dilema. (though Freddie is a god in a different respect) |
| Jakobe 11.01.2006 22:28 |
I like to seperate my religion and my music...if I didn't then I really would be fucked up as Roger says. |
| Ayreon 12.01.2006 03:15 |
The bible should be 'As it began', the book bij Jim jenkins and Jacky. |

Not quite sure how many of you are actually being serious about about this question. If you are, all I can say is no way. Are you completely mad? |

I'm going slightly mad.... ;) |

"It wasn't, so everything that follows is superfluous, irrelevant and entirely without purpose...." actually it was. here in Australia there was a sort of joke campaign for people to put Jediism as their religion on the cencus. It turned something like 6 percent of Australia put it down and so it became an 'official' religion. So technically we could make Queenism a religion. I am Christian so I would not seriously take part in any Queen religion but i'm assuming this is a bit of a joke. Places of pilgrimage can be Wembley stadium and the Freddie statue in Montreau, and the red special and maybe Freddie's piano and yellow jacket. |

rove wrote: but i'm assuming this is a bit of a joke. Not likely to be the case, considering some have already confessed that they pray to Freddie. Don't get me wrong, I'm as big a Queen fan as the next guy but this is a bit strange, to say the least....... |
