What a load of bullshit. $75,000? Especially since I'd put most of the blame on the parents, who apparently have trouble distinguishing apple juice from a Long Island iced tea.
I'd award them a $20 dollar gift certificate at most. But that may be too generous.
$75,000 for serving a Long Island iced tea?
Wonder how much she'd sue for if she realizes that those waiters at Applebee's have been spitting on her food.
cripes, it was probably an honest mistake. I wonder if it was busy or something. Has this woman ever waitressed before? People are annoying to work with and honestly myself I often wonder how waiters can tell which drinks are different when they look the same, if it was a busy and hectic day it should be understandable. If no damage was done to the boy no case.
and I'm sure it had ice in it, red flag, restaurants never serve juice with ice.
If this was turned on the waiter, like he or she should have noticed this, he or she probably had something else to tend to, like getting another customer's food over to them warm so they wouldnt complain about that, seriously they dont spend much time looking at the drink, just color.
...and what do you expect, its an applebees.
If my daughter were served an LIT, she'd spit it out on the first drink and that would be that!! I wouldn't think of sueing over this but I'd make sure the manager took care of our bill for that night. People in this country are too quick to sue. Makes me mad.
I've been sued!!! I don't recommend that!!! bwuahahahhaha!!
(hijack) Pieter did Erin tell you about the problem I'm having with hooking up my wireless modem at home? I can get the desktop to connect to the internet but I can't get either laptop to. It says I'm connected with excellent signal strength but something about a establishing a gateway and renewing my ip address is screwing up. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks!!!

Or put the blame on the kid. I mean, at 5 five years old, I'm pretty sure as soon as I took the first drink, I'd know it wouldn't taste like apple juice and tell my mom that it tasted funny.
Ridiculous.

Do you have wireless through Roadrunner? My sister has wireless at their house and it absolutely sucks. I can't count how many times my brother-in-law's had to call Roadrunner with problems, plus it's almost as slow as a dial-up connection sometimes. Plus, another weird thing is, is that when you turn on their microwave, you lose your Internet connection.
I'm affraid I don't know too much about wireless connections. I know that somebody I work with has has a hard time with his. He says he gets bad latency.
I've got Insight Shay. That is the cable in Northern Ky. Road Runner is not available there. Everything worked fine when we had the laptops hooked up through our DSL modem with Zoomtown. But then we switched to cable and bought a DSL and broadband compatible modem but it still does not work. I called Insight to see if they have their own modem they suggest but they said no. Tony will get it figured out but I'm getting very upset with no internet at home. You all know how I get when I'm upset.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

That's because money is America's god.
We worship it, and we sacrifice ourselves for it.

That would be a nice arrangement. But the kids parents are apparently greedy assholes.

if the router has a built-in firewall, you could access it through the network address...and force the ip address of the laptops into the NAT section
also in the webbrowser of the laptops, type in the net address of teh router and see if you can get the router setup page
