I got this video, see and I'm a bit confused by it. It's an earlier video (1974?) and it basically has Now I'm Here really edited with an interview in the middle. The person I got it from says it's from Granada TV. It looks like a soundcheck or something. I'd just like some info on this. I'll post some screenshots soon. link link link
The fur coat and scarf completely threw me off. The person said it was from 12-24-74, but that most likely isn't right.
At the beginning of the clip, you see a reporter speaking outside of the Beacon Theatre, and the dates are the 1976 dates. It has been said that the concert (or soundcheck?) footage of Now I'm Here is from Feb 5th, but I don't think one can really conclude which date it's from.
Hmm... Well, my clip must be a different edit. It was pretty cut up (TV stations are good at that) but thank you very much. The only reason I said it was a soundcheck was because there was absolutely no crowd noise.

Unfortunately that's not valid evidence. A high percentage of unofficial/bootleg soundboard recordings have little to no audience heard throughout, because the audience isn't mic'd properly. When bands record a show with the intent of releasing a live album, they have microphones specifically placed to pick up the audience. When this isn't done, all the audience noise you hear is only from the vocal and drum mics.
As a result, for example, almost all of the 1971 and 1973 Zeppelin soundboard recordings sound like there were 20 people at the concert. Of course this was not the case. :)

You're presenting that as fact... with what evidence?
First off all Freddie wore whatever he liked during a rehearsal. And Freddie wouldn't change clothings before Now I'm here, I can´t actually remember Freddie wearing that coat during any tour. Apart from that we see and hear no audience.
And i believe that programme said it themselves (and they recorded it)

Well, I think this is basically the case with all the LZ SBDs (and in general of course) that were taped using regular reel-to reel machines or tape recorders and not multitracked. The LZ board tapes of '75 , '77(there are only a few anyway) and '80 sound quite dry as well. Especially the SBD sources of the 1980 tour sound very dry and tinny and are in several cases inferior to the AUD sources.
