Liked him with Van Halen, but as a DJ the guy completely blows!
Sure filling Howard Stern's spot brings a lot of high expectations (for Dave or anyone), but I still wanted to give Dave a chance, and boy that was far worse than the lowest expectations anyone could have.
The only funny parts about David Lee Roth's show is when people tell him how much he sucks. The more I listen to him, the more I feel like getting Sirius and having Howard back.
Boy do I miss Howard Stern.
Apparently David Lee Roth knows he's no great shakes at this and just issued a statement that's he's open to a Van Halen reunion, though he took a shot at Eddie at the same time.

I thought I was going to have to pull out the Van Halen Hammer of Justice on you...
I'm glad to hear a reunion is "inevitable," but then again, maybe Diamond Dave is just running his mouth again.
As for his radio show, I never heard it, but I'll believe you when you say it sucks.

Ewww.
I suppose they were both good, but nothing beats the stage presence of Diamond Dave.
I like both too.
Sammy Haggar had a better voice in terms of pitch and reaching high notes. However, David Lee Roth's voice is so distinctive that eventually it became the Van Halen trademark along with Eddie Van Halen's guitar virtuosity. Plus, Roth was the better performer of the two.
Gary Cherone, anyone?

The keyword in that sentence is "was."
I saw Roth and Hagar when they toured together in 2002 and I thought DLR was pretty pathetic compared to Sammy. His voice was gone after about 4 songs, he only acknowledged the crowd one time during his entire set (other than "ejaculating" whiskey on the front row), and he forgot a lot of the lyrics to the VH songs and would just kind of make up shit/"talk" his way through when he forgot the words. Plus, he looks pretty bad when he tries to do all those legkicks and splits that he did in the '80s. The guy standing next to me in the crowd said "I think someone should tell him it's 2002, not 1982."...lol
gary was just wrong man/wrong time
lets just watch his genuis at the concert for life and end it there........i hope he joins queen on stage at the boston show, he is good buddies with brian
