New pages from my graphic novel in progress, FREDDIE AND ME are now available online at my website link
Two or three new pages will be added every Thursday.
FREDDIE AND ME is an unabashedly autobiographical story all about how I’ve been a big fan of Queen since first discovering the band in 1984 when their song “I Want to Break Free” was popular in the UK. The book follows the story of my life, my family’s lives, the lives of the members of the band Queen (as well as the lives of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley from WHAM! because, you know, why not?) from that point up until present day.
Though the book is still far from complete, excerpts from it have received favorable reviews from Comic World News as well as the Comics Buyers Guide, as well as getting a spot in at least one online “Top Ten Comics of 2005” list that was posted online yesterday: link
If you're a Queen fan, a graphic novel fan, or someone who has ever liked band a whole lot in your life and therefore might relate to the fact that I really like Queen, then this is a comic for you.
Graphic novels aren't really my thing, but I like comic strips...But yeah, I really like it. It's good. I think I'll keep reading it when you update. :)
Sorry to keep hyping my comic, but this morning I got linked to from Brian May's website. Not only are they adding the link to my site to their page, they suggest that they actually enjoyed the comic themselves. link
I am really psyched!
Thanks for the really nice words guys. I've recieved a lot of positive feedback since putting my comics online, and most of it has come from the Queen fans. I totally appreciate it.
Three new pages have been added to my site, link
Hope you enjoy!
I haven't posted in this thread for a while, but I wanted to pop in to say that I've been updating this comic regularly, every week. I've added five new pages tonight, and now there are now over 40 pages of the story online.
Have a look: link
I have to say it's fantastic. You have a real and special talent, and are definitely capable enough to succeed with this as your livelihood. I've no idea if there's any money in it, but if so, go for it. Brilliant.
Try posting it on QueenOnLine, if you haven't already, to further your readership.

I know this is a bit sad bit at some parts of the comic i was crying i have no idea why maybe beacause i know that im not the only Queen freak out there!!!!!!GREAT COMIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your art is superb. Your characters really look like the emotions they are feeling. I did not know about Queen until 2004 so I never "knew" Freddie when he was alive. Thank heavens because I might have had to jump off the high bridge at the news of his death had I adored him then like I do now. It appears it took a lot of fortitude to be a Queen fan in the USofA way back when, and thanks for sharing your personal life. It would probably shatter the illusion, but do you have a picture of yourself at that age, and now?
I have a LiveJournal (which I only really ever use at this point to tell my handful of LJ friends that I've updated my site) and there are two pictures of me on that: link
As you can see, one is me now, the other is me with my awesome tear-drop haircut and my braces.
If anybody here has a LiveJournal, please feel free to add me as a friend.

Oh, thanks! What a cute little kid you were - just like in your drawings.
Hey thanks - I'm glad you liked the part with Brian.
I've not read a lot of Manga, but have you guys read Cromartie High School - the action manga pardoy that features Freddie Mercury as one of a group of unruly high school students? I got the first three volumes recently - it's not my favorite thing in the world - but it's kind of funny.
The other manga that I've bought, but not yet read is Buddha volume 1. I have heard that the entire Buddha series is quite remarkable.
