I have posted the following links in the death on two legs thread also. Those songs were recorded some weeks ago in Milan. As I said in the other thread, Mike Portnoy from DT don't see any problems in sharing unoffical recordings of the band. I think that the files prove, in contrast to "Death on two legs", that James LaBrie is an amzing performer. Unfortunately, James was suffering a cold, when DOTL was recorded. But he's fine on those ones!
A Fortune In Lies (live) link
Under A Glass Moon (live) link
He performs a be5 on it: "praying for TIME to disappear..."
Octavarium (live) link
If you want, I could also upload "Losing Time" from the concert in Chile (25000 people attending) and "I Walk Beside You", which was recorded in Milan also.
This is a forum for general swapping and trading, isn't it?! Since James says that Freddie Mercury was his biggest influence, I think it's o.k. to post some MP3s!
Thanks Stephan. Dream Theater is also one of my favs as well. Ignore the negative vibes from the other ungrateful sods. We're lucky to have a band like Dream Theater to carry on the torch of good music that was lit by Queen. If we didn't, we'd be stuck with horrible Rolling Stones clones. Barf!
Stephan, if you're going to try introducing people to DT, I think you should post mp3s of stuff like Erotomania, Caught In A Web, Pull Me Under, New Millenium, and tracks 1-6 of the new album. People who come to this site are mostly into pop-oriented stuff, so you won't grab them with Octavarium and AFIL.
