i love that song... its in my top 5 favorite queen songs.... i was so happy when i first heard that they were playing it... and now.. its gone... bring it back... please... :)
Hey, as the kids say, I ain't sayin' nothin', but '39 was out at the Aruba gig. A brilliant soul wrote to Brian and asked that it be put back into the set list for the Meadowlands and Hollywood bowl gigs. Again, I ain't sayin' nothin' but said request was published on Brian's web site and he responded with something along the lines of "I'll see what I can do." For the final time, I ain't sayin' nothin' but it was back in for both gigs.
;)
so they aren't playing it for the us tour in the spring? I hope they play it in Buffalo...I love it when wel all sing along to his little acoustic set! especially 39...if it's not on the setlist..lets all email him a a petition!
I hereby am starting a petition to bring back '39' into the set list: link
"We, the undersigned, are outraged at the travesty that is the omission of '39' from only one Queen & Paul Rodgers show from 2005! What, are we animals or human beings?! Nay, WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS, and to be deprived of '39' - IF ONLY FOR ONE SHOW - is just like asking us to go a day without breathing! What kind of a world are we living in?! Honestly!"
Please sign, we need to show Brian just how important this song is to us!!!
i wish they would bring back good songs like DONT STOP ME NOW and KILLER QUEEN, NOW IM HERE, SOMEBODY TO LOVE, and KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE. Those were good songs, even though i think only paul could sing now im here and keep yourself alive cause the other 3 are nothin without freddie
yeah... '39, dont stop me now, keep yourself alive, somebody to love... are all great songs.... i love killer queen... but couldnt hear paul sing it.... .... i also love the song... who wants to live forever... i think maybe brian and rog singing that would be cool... i dunno... i havent checked for it on set lists lately... but i dont think that they do it...
me suggests they consider changing it up a bit
and use a song that perhaps is not been used during the 2005 tour...or on a double live cd or dvd....
just a thought
i aint saying nothing but as far as being put back in--- the email helped yes...but the call to B double dog daring him to put 39 back in for the two shows...now that was the icing on the cake.... but i aint sayin nuttin... *whistles*

Well..I ain't saying nothing, but if It's Late was put in the setlist, I'd need a Depends....;-D
Like that would happen...
i myself thought SOTS would be a shue for the two shows in as it went over big time in LA--
FFI-- was a suggested song-- one for P and R to do

Excellent use of the word "nay," Lester. Well done!
