This is a very simple number. And I actually don't think that there is something special about the lyrics. But have i missed something, are the meening of the songtext a little more complicated?
It's actually a sequel to Bohemian Rhapsody, where the protagonist from the former, who had just killed a man (put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he's dead) has made peace with the fact that he (now identified as a chap named Steve) is a killer. Thusly, he sheds his guilt for the previous crime and goes out bustin caps in some porch monkey asses, Compton style. It's a sordid saga, these chronicles of Steve...

I don't think there are any special deep meanings in all John songs. Certainly, as Fenderek stated above - some of them are about acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, some are about cowboys, some about cowboys and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome...
Actually, John wrote that song to tell everyone that in 5 years time, he would have a gi-normous Afro, and another fact unknown to the casual fan, would wish to be referred to from that point on as Dexter A. Jackson.

I always thought the lyrics to this song were pretty obvious. Brain wrote this song after getting frustrated when yet another one of his newly bought vacuum cleaners broke down. Another one bites the dust, indeed.
