I'm sure you guys know but i thought a reminder was in order for this it's on saturday night(sunday morning) at 12.30pm on bbc2 and it runs for 50 minutes, i'm sure there's a repeat on another channel at a stated time.
Can't wait for this one to come out on dvd next march.
Cheers.
Remember that's 00:30AM! Not 12:30PM as that'd be after midday.
I think I'll record this one and make a dvd. If anyone can get a torrent up like last year's BBC3 BoRhap docu, please say and I'll do what I can. link
Peace,
Adam.
Currently on tv here in Holland :)
Very interesting stuff, Roger acoustically playing IILWMC, Brian performing bits of DOTL on guitar etc. Very cool :)
FriedChicken
The Almighty wrote: Great docu!
Especially seeing Brian singing Good Company, and playing on the original George Formby ukelele-banjo!
Yep, I also loved that part.
Just a pity they completely forgot about The Prophet's song. Completely ignored, though there is plenty of material to show.
Apart from the studio stuff it was also nice to see some live shots (Hyde Park, Tokyo, Hammersmith, Earls Court). Great documentary!

I think Prophet's Song and lots of other missing stuff will be on DVD- it will be much more there than just this 50 minutes! But I can't wait to see it!!!! :)
Folks could someone answer this for me.....
I have a Classic Albums DVD for Joshua Tree and the superlative Who's Next.
Is THIS the same label/format/type of thing??? Those two above are EXCELLENT, so i can only hope that this will be the same if it is.....
Yes, it is the same series.
All the DVD's have the same basic content:
the tv version plus another hour of 'outtakes' - that means extended and added interviews and extended performances by the bandmembers.
The Eagle series is quality guaranteed! :-)
Hopefully the DVD will be ace. No need to record now!
The U2 and Who ones were very good, but older. The latest one was the Floyd's Dark Side which had extras - interviews cut from the final cut and Gilmour playing even more bits on his instruments!
I'm looking forward to this now!
Here's a reminder of what extras the DVD will contain...
In addition to the 50 minute TV version, as broadcast on BBC TV, there are over 50 minutes of bonus footage including the following:
Party Of The First Part - How the album got its title by Roger Taylor.
’39 - Full new acoustic performance by Brian May.
Half A Sonic Volcano - Roger Taylor gives his drum kit a work out.
Sweet Lady - Brian May introduces the full live performance from the Hyde Park free concert in 1976.
The Prophet’s Song - A more in depth analysis by Brian May and Roy Thomas Baker intercut with live footage from the Hyde Park free concert.
Love Of My Life - Full track intercutting between a new acoustic performance by Brian May and a stadium performance by Brian and Freddie.
Bohemian Rhapsody - Kenny Everett talks about the first time he heard the song and Brian May, Roger Taylor and Roy Thomas Baker go into more detail about the construction of the song illustrated by clips from the video.
God Save The Queen - Brian May brings A Night At The Opera to a close.
Doesn't look like IILWMC acoustic will be featured in full though unfortunately :(
