Innuenda indeed is a great number, just get better everytime you hear it.
But i just cant figure out the deeper meening in the lyrics. Anybody who can help me?
Funny, I've been thinking about the lyrics of Innuendo this past week. I hate to beat a dead horse but I think the song is an Innuendo about Freddie Mercury. Duh! I'm torn between two meanings: 1. Regardless of what changes occur over time the Universe will continue.
2. Freddie will keep fighting until he can't.
I believe its about coming in terms with one's physical mortality apart immortal mentality. To reach out the highest (level) you can develop your mind/soul, humanity itself during one life time and whats after that?.. well, one can only have innuendoes about it..
I figured it was Queen, well Freddie mainly, telling us that all these songs have more than one meaning.
Don't take offense at the grim reality that they're all about!
Slightly Mad....
Rushing Headlong...
Can't Live With You...
All pretty dark meanings, from Freddie point-of-view.

Thats not very definitive from you!! "more than one meaning..",every song has more than one. No dark there.. just plain reality and things to be found in life
Strange, to me the lyrics of Innuendo seem to be among the clearest Queen ever wrote...
It's basically all the questions all human beings ask themselves, usually when they go through some bad period but not necessarily. They are the very questions of life, and I think it's one of the reasons why it's such a marvellous song, along with the great music and of course Freddie's perfect performance, so full of emotion.
You have it all there: the stubborn desire of living, the recognition of the bad things in life, the anger against a God who doesn't seem to listen, and the decision to face it with a smile no matter what, because after all, we are made for life.

Well, lyrics to Innuendo are more than clear, IMHO. Just read it.
Close, but not quite...it's clearly about artificial sweetener:
Through the sorrow
All through our Splenda
Don't take offece at my innuenda
Fuck sakes, I had tea with Brian last week and asked him this very question, to which he gave me the worst 'are you retarded?' look and said "Because we knew everyone would think it was our last album, so we wanted to give them plenty of hints that there'd be another one. We naturally had to make up a song by the same name so it wouldn't be obvious." So there you have it.
I got it straight away.
the lyrics are talking about the status of the world and the economy such as the gulf war was taking place at the time and how the chorus of the song(we'll keep on trying) show's the determination of the goverments armed forces.
Its also referring to the oppression Saddam Hussein has on his people and how he is making them all follow his belief's and religion. (Why must we live according to race, colour or creed)
Even after the wanderering guitar part, the song starts refering to the struggle of the iraq people trying to release themselves from the oppression(show yourself, destroy all fears release your mask).
hoped that helped you
