All,
I've recently finally purchased a cow-bell and a woodblock, however, I can't seem to figure out how to connect them to the drum kit. As far as I can see, they both come with a sort of clamp mechanism, but I guess Im either being an idiot or I'm missing something still.
I'm struggling to find any tutorials on the web, although I'm still searching, do any of the percussionists on here have any handy help for moi?
Thanks in advance.
That was an option.
I've got my woodblock clamped to the top of my hi-hat at the mo, but I have to open my hi-hat up further because the wait pushes it down, but sometimes the strain is too much and the bar slips thru the clamp.
Thanks tho mate - never mind, onwards I go....
I believe there's some kind of a stand you can get, or maybe just get an old cymbal stand and mount the cowbell on there somehow. I used to have my cowbell on my hi-hat, but it was in an awkward position and messed up the weight distribution blah blah blah and it just didn't work out.
Yeah there is a clamp that you clamp on to either the edge of the bass drum or on to a cymbal stand i think. It has some prongs which you can put the cowbell or woodblock onto. However i am stingy and am still using good old duct tape lol!!! Its bad when it gives way in a gig tho!
