Further to the poll about "Should Queen + PR record a new studio album?", where the majority reckon "Yes, it will be fab", what would you like to see on this album? I would, of course, like to hear brand new stuff penned by Brian and Roger and maybe Paul too. Love some rock/blues type songs. Like to hear some other guest vocalists too, but no-one too 'different' who's only there to boost themselves or so Queen can be more "with it". (Example of that is Santana teaming up with Lauryn Hill and also Wyclef Jean - talk about selling out.) I'd also quite like to hear new studio versions of All Right Now and Wishing Well and maybe Paul providing vocals for a new studio version of FBG. Of course, studio versions of the 46664 songs would be nice. What I wouldn't want is too many soppy, miserable "missing Freddie" type songs. (I'm not saying they're not good, but with "Old Friends", NOBY(OTGDY), Wilderness etc etc I think the barrel's being scraped a little now) Let's get back to rock. Anyway, what are your thoughts? |

I'd love to see new material. Although it would most likely incite a riot amoung the fans. Myself not included. |

I would love to hear new Queen music especially with Roger and Brian with lead vocals... but many of the other fans may become upset by it... |

Those who disagree will be because if Paul is in the new album they dont like that idear maybe if it was just Brian and Roger then thats a diffrent story.... |

I wouldn't like to see a new studio album, loaded with plain and simple rock... Everybody here has accused them of chosing a "safe and chicken" setlist for the tour with only exactly this type of song on it....so... I would want to see them break new grounds again and explore some styles and things they have never ever done before.... for example: Brian May teaming up with the best accoustic guitarist ever: Mr Stocholo Rosenberg from the Rosenberg Trio, his Django Reinhart gypsy swing style combined with the red special would give me a faster haertbeat.... or Paul Rodgers teaming up with the sexiest jazzy woman vocalist alive now : Diana Krall....haha or maybe even Bioncé.....Surprises like that, choices like that will shake the earth...and they could pull it off, without losing the Queensound or identity...and as candle on the cake...yet 1 new unknown demo with Freddies vocals as an extra track .....i bet that everyone will say then : THáT is the best song on the album again....and the forums here will have a lot of discussions going on about that again IF such a thing were to happen..... |

I don't agree bas. I think the boys have proven enough int their carreers that they can break new grou,d, i don't think they'll feel the need to prove themselves in that way(listen to Made in heaven; no breaking grounds there either). What they need to do, i think, is make a GOOD rock 'n roll album. Simple as that! |

Would love some new material, plus a studio Say It's Not True. Also possibly a new version of Hammer To Fall with Roger on lead vocal. That would ROCK! Preferably with Deaky, otherwise it shouldn't be called Queen+PR, get a new name. Also Brian and Roger singing lead on a few tracks, not just Paul. |

Freddie Mercury would be a good place to start,or otherwise forget it.This Paul Rogers/Spinal Tap affair has already run it's course.RETIRE!!!! |

I never understood why some people would want Brian and Roger to re-record old songs. Thats so stupid. Its not like they're going to improve them. They need to write and record new material. NO guest singers, just Brian, Roger and Paul. They need to lock themselves away for a long time and put together the best they can. The album should ROCK and nothing more. No lame songs that are dedicated to Freddie, just ROCK 'N ROLL! I want it loud, fast and with a lot of heart! |

100% original new songs.... If there is covers of anything, should this album happen....I'm passing Actually, they could changethe style up to a bluesier rock....and that would be fine with me. I feel that this is Brian and Roger's only reservation ablout recording a new album with Paul. The blues side of rock is about all they could cover....now granted, Paul's one voice is a very good voice... but Paul is not nearly as versitile as Freddie was. There is no way Paul's bluesy rough voice can pull off campy, vaudville, gay showtunes like Freddie.....then rock out on the next song like Freddie. (I should point out these campy Queen songs are among my favorite...... as I'll take a Good Old Fashion Lover Boy over a lame Now I'm Here any day) So....will Queen+ Paul, and Timmy from down the street scare off some of their core audience by being one dimensional with Rodgers?? As opposed to being about to cover 10 styles with Freddie? time will tell. |

Maybe Brian can just "doodle" whenever no one is singing. Just like those last two Santana craps. THE ONLY THING I'D LIKE TO SEE ON THE NEW ALBUM: JOHN DEACON |

I think that all three people should sing on the new studio l.p. on the first song at least it should be just Brian and Roger. The first track should be about ten minutes long AND be very positive like a re-birth. Something opposite from hearing Freddie going to heaven on the end of "Made In Heaven" on the hidden untitled last track of that l.p. This is VERY important. Then the second track should have all three singing so that there will be a song where both Brian and Roger are singing but Paul Rodgers comes in through out it. He can then carry the vocals for most of the rest of the l.p. but do allow a certain amount of lead vocals to Brian and Roger as well. Of course there could be all sorts of unreleased alternate versions of all the songs as well. In particular with all three singing lead at times and at times not. Of course Brian and Roger should carry the back up vocals by far and some with Paul as well but only at the right times for him. I think that is very important too. |

I don't think Queen should release another album, i'm very grateful they did a tour, it gave people who are younger (like me) a chance to see a Queen concert. Obviously if Freddie was there it would have been 10 times better but still i think it was a good choice but i think they should leave it as a one off and let it be. Queen are a legendary group i think they should think carefully about what they do next because they can never be back in their prime. |
Munchsack 07.12.2005 08:26 |
After the album, extensive tour of Europe including AT LEAST one gig in Scotland, preferably at Celtic Park. And they should play You'll Never Walk Alone. |

I would like to see a new Queen album. Plain and simple. Call it "Epilogue" or "Phoenix" or something like that. Have some bluesy rock, some hard rock, some fun tunes. Say It's Not True, Wishing Well, Reachin' Out, etc. Maybe a completed Freddie demo or two. John Deacon. Release it soon. It will save rock 'n' roll. |
Going Back 07.12.2005 16:49 |
i'd like to see there atleast 3 songs freddie singing (as we cnow there are many unfinished songs and freddie vocal demos) and like on made in heaven ''let me live'' would be nice when paul, roger and biran sing some songs together. ooh and not under 11 song on album. : ) |
