What are you all hearing on the radios and newspapers regarding the tour?
Here in greater Phoenix, they are doing a terrific job. I already mentioned the full page ad in the Sunday paper entertainment section last week. I'm sure we'll see that continue, not that large, but prominently.
Our local KDKB 93.3 "Arizona Rocks" station is also doing a terrific job. They are sponsoring the gig. It seems nearly every hour they are playing Queen and hyping the show. Last night, they had Paul Rodgers on live for a chat for 10 minutes or so. Paul was very enthusiastic, as was his host. He pointed out that the show will be heavy with Queen since they havent toured in so long, and lighter on his stuff. He said he was really pleased when Brian offered to tour as "Queen + Paul Rodgers". He said great things about the boys. Really it got my heart hammering! This has gotta move all those (like me) who were in high school/young adults in the '70s and '80s.
AND they're using Paul singing their little "Arizona Rocks" jingle for station ID!
In milwaukee- Full page ads, TV commercials, Radio Blitz ( almost every half hour), you name it.. QPR songs on the radio.
However- as of now there seems to be plenty of good seats available. Tough to sell tix right before Christmas...they have 3 months to fill it up. They will have to keep it up in 2006-
