I see their website works as good as ever :-) Looks to be around 110 - 120 Platinum tickets available. |
Crazy LittleThing 30.11.2005 14:13 |
Yes, after I got my tickets I checked back to see what was happening. Platinum packages are available one minute, then sold out the next, alternating on and off. I imagine Mark Weiss is gleefully sitting in some sweatbox office in New York somewhere switching the screens to try and get us to panic. Fool me once ... |

What seats did you end up getting? |

It appears that there were very few, if any, of the higher priced tickets available for the Glendale show...I could only find the cheaper seats and I started right when the presale started...the VIP packages had the better tickets available... |

I got on right when it started and accidentally clicked on the VIP tix first, (and there's no way I'm paying $595) but I got 3 of the $100 tix for the San Diego Cox Arena show. I couldn't get 3 of the $130's together. It looks like we're in section S, row 13, but I'm not sure if that's floor or the first risers off the floor. |
rockyracoon 30.11.2005 17:51 |
I just tried, for 10 minutes, for the $130 tickets in San Diego. They wouldn't sell me two seats together. So I looked at the Gold VIP seats and got 2 for $395 each. Ouch! But they're great seats (section CCC, Row 3), and I'm a Queen freak. These will be much better seats than I had at the Hollywood Bowl, where I paid a similar amount and wasn't very close to the stage. |
rockyracoon 30.11.2005 17:57 |
likecats, you got excellent seats, right next to the VIP Suite. It's always interesting to see who sits in the VIP suite, sometimes the band's family members, other rock stars, industry big shots, etc. You'll find it interesting, to say the least. |
Wiley 30.11.2005 18:23 |
I'm considering going to the San Diego show with some friends but I haven't got their money yet. Could some of you who have used this Artist Arena service before tell something about it? What to you recommend? I read that some people got crappy seats on the presale while others got better ones right before the show. I remember buying tickets for the Vienna and Leipzig gigs a couple of months before but those had been for sale for some weeks by then. I still got general admission for both. Do you think the tickets for this or other gigs will sell out quickly?? Need advice over here.. Wiley |
rockyracoon 30.11.2005 19:41 |
Wiley, I wasn't particularly thrilled with the way some of the ticket sales were handled for the Hollywood Bowl, as some pretty good seats were still available just before the show. But I don't recommend you take that chance. Even the worst seat in the house, or even the most expensive, is much better than no seat at all. Everyone who goes to a Queen concert leaves on a high, never regretting whatever they spent. So I recommend you get tickets soon rather than later, and go for whatever seats/price best match your expectation of value for the money. |
Wiley 30.11.2005 19:52 |
Yeah, I know it's quite an experience, having been to some shows so far but it's just that I remember a lot of negative feedback with this kind of presale that I thought I should ask. Either way, I'll talk to my friends and we'll try to buy them as soon as possible. Thanks for the tip.. Wiley |

What the fcuk is all this talk about seats????? Do none of these gigs have standing areas? Are you all going to be sitting politely applauding or something????? What's going on? Please tell me that I'm reading these posts incorrectly and that some of you are at least standing? Cheers Paul |
Erin 30.11.2005 20:31 |
It just means that we aren't fortunate enough to have general admission. |
Deacons 1st Choice 30.11.2005 20:37 |
Paul mate... Here in the States most concerts have seating and very few gigs are General Admission shows. Don't worry though...most folks tend to stand up the entire time and go completely mad with excitement. The only folks who tend to sit are the older lot, and some of the guests. |
Richard Orchard 30.11.2005 21:13 |
There are no $130 tickets available for san diego. Just $100 and the "VIP" tickets. Bummer. I am hoping to be in San Diego at that time. |
deltablues 30.11.2005 21:25 |
There weren't any of the higher priced ($200) tickets in Seattle either... it makes me wonder if they were there at all, since I tried to order the minute the presale started. |
Deacons 1st Choice 30.11.2005 21:48 |
Guys...why are you bothering with the pe-sales? Last tour we all learned the hard way that pre-sales suck! The tickets sold are not the "best seats availible" and it was shown to be so. The week of the show, better tickets were availible to anyone for face value! I'm just trying to help....it makes me sad to see history seeming to repeat itself and seemingly being misled again. |
deltablues 30.11.2005 21:59 |
I bought tickets during the presale because I can't risk not going at all. The ticketmaster price is seventy dollars more than what I just paid, and it looks like my seats are about 6 or 7 rows back from the catwalk. I'm going to try to get tickets for the Vancouver show too. I just don't have enough faith to not buy tickets until the end. |
Deacons 1st Choice 30.11.2005 22:15 |
That's cool...as long as you are getting good seats. |

It's funny how a bands ticket price gets higher the less albums they sell. These prices are ridiculous and paying these amounts only serves to encourage them. Still, if they want a boring rich audience, then... I WORSHIP Queen - but they're gone. Get out there and see The Datsuns instead (or Wolfmother -if you're lucky enough to be living in Australia). |

100.00 a seat and your rich! maybe in the land down under. |

One thing for sure anyway is that the presale is not selling out like it did for the NJ and LA shows. You can still get front row VIP tickets for some of the shows. In Seattle there are still many Platinum VIP tickets available. Where are the "many, many fans that want to be able to purchase the best seats"???? |
Richard Orchard 01.12.2005 09:44 |
Crazy LittleThing: Awesome. Would love to meet up with Queen fans whilst i am in the US. Might see some of the other shows in california as well. |
Lisser 01.12.2005 10:54 |
I'm waiting until a few days before the gig to buy my seats. I'm not doing this presale gunk ever again for ANY concert I go to from here on out. If I can't get the tickets, then it's not meant for me to be there at all. I know they release the great seats a few days before. |

Here, places that are all-seaters don't do at ALL well. They rarely put on gigs of this nature. People actually won't go if they are. Though the real pits is when you get to a gig, find it an all-seater, and the staff make you sit down if you stand up. I once watched staff make people sit....at a Suzanne Vega concert. Even SHE told the staff to fuck off. Thanks for clearing that up. P |
