I love that song and it seems like it was definitely made to be one. Plus, everytime I hear my heart starts racing and I feel like killing the nearest living thing. How come it never caught on?
I actually really like Tear it Up. But everything good about it, was already done in We Will Rock You, but WWRY had the added bonus of lyrics that actually meant something. Ok, most people don't really care what WWRY has to say, they just go for the chorus...
I guess Tear it Up never took off because WWRY was merely a bit more memorable + already very entrenched.
I suppose if they'd done Tear it Up first, it might have been a different story.
It's not even close to the song 'We Will Rock You' or 'We Are The Champions' are.
'I Want It All' is a decent sports anthem I thought would be even bigger than it is at present.
Thinking about it, 'Gimme The Prize' and 'One Vision' would make great sports anthems. So would 'Hammer To Fall', even if the lyrics don't match so much.
The ultimate sports video, I always thought, would be clips of Michael Jordan doing his thing on the court to 'Don't Stop Me Now'.
You are right, 'Tear It Up' wouldn't be bad though.
How about, just out of nowhere, with the volume loud as hell, a random 'Chinese Water Torture'. That would fire any crowd up.

Oh...then you don't know men's wrestling.
That's like homosexuality with spectators.
I think its because the whole works album is was recorded kind of "tinny" and thin sounding.
I mean, "The Works" sound is great for GA GA and Break Free....
but the sound of that album, is not a "tough" rock sound....waaaay over processed.

Dear, I wrestle varsity on men's wrestling team. Coach will not let us play ANOBTD or WWRY so why TIU?

Hopefully that clears up any confusion as to whether QOW was a homosexual, or just merely a spectator.

I beg to differ. It's one of my favorite songs that Queen performed live.
The version on Live At Wembley is in my top 10 favorite songs from that concert.
The entire song and especially Freddie's and Roger's interplay on vocals, drums...and then Brian on guitar, kicks rock ass and is electrifying!

Your coach is pretty sorry if he tells you what kind of music to listen to. The beauty of sport is the individualality of each contestant. What gets you up and ready is different from each person.
I guess you'll have to fire up the Gary Glitter records a little longer.
Onto the subject, I think Tear It Up isn't something you want all the kids in the stadium singing.

Yep, I wrestle. We won last night. Then, coach held my headgear while I kissed my lady.

No, I mean he wont let us do our intro with them. He could give a rats ass what we warm up to.

I use One Vision and Prime Jive.
We're pushing for Bicycle Race on senior night next year.
