LOL Pieter!! Jeroen...Chicago is 317 miles from Detroit. That is about a 6 hour drive. St. Paul is 592 miles from Detroit. That would be about a 12 hour drive. A lot of driving if you ask me over that period of time but I am a spoiled bitch and do not like to sit in a car. I prefer flying. I'd like to see the Chicago show definitely and the Cleveland one. I'm very worried about bad weather though in Cleveland and you might want to consider the possibility of bad weather (snow/ice) for St. Paul also at that time of year. |

That's TWICE it's been posted on q+pr.com and withdrawn. I put it on QOL at around 5:30-6:00 this morning when I got it off the Q+PR site. QOL removed my post shortly thereafter. I think someone's having some fun with us ... they post the schedule, we see it and start buzzing, then they remove it and watch our reaction. Either that or they've got problems. I choose to think they are having some fun at our expense ... Jacky's site is awfully quiet about any of this ... |

Yes the concerts will be "seated" but no one sits, unless of course you are an idiot. I do like it better bc you don't have to fight over where you are going to stand/sit. In America, people tend to be assholes/bitches (like me) and want to fight physically over a spot on the floor. You should have seen the news from Black Friday (one of the biggest Xmas shopping days of the season)I saw 5 men fighting over a child's toy. Ridiculous but it is a reality here. This is why security is not concerned over people filming gigs here. They are much more watchful of fights or people acting unruly. |

Plus, all the major tours seem to book Columbus now (Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney...) I'm looking over the dates again...and my God i hope the Boys can survive this grueling schedule. I mean, look at how CLOSE the dates are to each other. Literally, it's one day off, show...one day off, show. For the Washington and Worcester MA gigs, there is no time off between them. This may mean that those of us going to the MA show will see a exusted Band. I'm worried for Brian....i hope he can handle this. It seems like they are putting the petal to the metal and tearing down the tour trail headlong without consideration for such things as rest, healing of fingers, etc. I know i know...they must have thought this all out before hand...but WOW...looking at this list makes me worried. If there are health issues..this means dates will be cancelled. If there are weather issues ( which is VERY very possible in the NE/MW this time of year)....this means shows will be cancelled. Looking at these dates also makes me wonder how anyone could even toy with the thought of there being any further dates added. Looks to me like this is not likely, considering the tight schedule. Just some observations i thought i'd share....discuss if you wish! |

Haystacks Calhoun 29.11.2005 15:47 |
Nassau Colisuem is a 33 year old dump of a facility.... While Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum has its structural and acoustical problems, going to an Islanders game can still be fun. Especially when the Rangers are in the house. There's usually an even mix of fans from both teams, so the back-and-forth discourse in the stands can be a thrill. But the building is showing its age (it opened in 1972). Many of the seats have obstructions, and the PA system has been compared to a clock radio. The color scheme makes the place look darker than it is. The team has talked about requesting renovations. ISLANDERS MOVE OUT OF NASSAU COLISEUM September 17, 1998 Within hours after filing a lawsuit claiming the Nassau Coliseum is unsafe, the NHL New York Islanders moved out of the arena and into offices in Manhattan. Possible temporary homes include Madison Square Garden, Continental Airlines Arena, the First Union Spectrum in Philadelphia and the Civic Center in Hartford, CT. The NHL is helping the team in its search for a venue and is hiring its own engineers to inspect the arena. The first regular season home game is October 10, 1998. Team officials indicated they could play in several of the venues. The lawsuit says SMG, the company managing the venue, failed to make necessary improvements and that made the venue unsafe. As a result, the team says it was forced to evict itself from the arena. The Islanders hired an outside consultant to inspect the arena. Among the Islanders' complaints is the main scoreboard hoist system which the team says is a safety risk. The suit says SMG has not responded to requests that it be fixed or replaced. Other issues concern the elevators, roof, rink boards and glass and seats. The suit also says the bathrooms were in such poor shape last season that the team had to bring in portable toilets. The suit asks for the team to be released from its lease and for $10 million in damages. SMG officials say the safety issues are a smoke screen and that the move is simply a publicity stunt to get out of its lease. Engineers hired by SMG to inspect the arena found no problems, the company says. SMG officials also say they may file suit against the team if it plays outside the arena. Both sides are scheduled to meet today (Thursday) to discuss the situation. The two have also reportedly reached an impasse in negotiations with the county for a new venue. The county has proposed a $270 million plan that calls for a new arena and retail complex to be built with the cost shared equally among the county, state and team. The New York Post says the team is not willing to invest more than $70 million. Meanwhile, the Islanders have hired architect Peter Eisenman to design a new arena. Eisenman is also working on a stadium proposal for the Arizona Cardinals and the University of Arkansas. His design for the University drew critical praise in Sunday's New York Times, but some local residents have been put off by its futuristic design. September 30, 1998 - (Associated Press) The New York Islanders were ordered to play their home games in Nassau Coliseum after a judge ruled the arena was safe to play in. State Supreme Court Judge Burton Joseph granted Nassau County's request for a preliminary injunction preventing the team from playing home games at any location other than the Coliseum. The team moved out of the arena earlier this month and filed a $10 million federal lawsuit against SMG, which leases the arena from the county, claiming the arena was a danger to fans and players. The Coliseum is home to not only the Islanders but the New York Saints indoor lacrosse team and many other sports and entertainment events. Adjacent to the arena is |

Someone mentioned how there are only a couple of Saturday concerts... This is because it will still be hockey season, and arenas are thus booked on Saturdays. |

Got my DC ticket just now! Sec 4, Row H, seat 10. Stage left this time. Pretty identicale to my seats in NJ just on the opposite side. I am going alone, so if anyone is intrested in meeting up before the show let me know. I'll be driving in from Philly. Speaking of which, has anyone heard when the Philly show goes on sale? It was originally listed as today, but that is not the case & Tickmaster has no info on this. Thanks Steve |
