I wonder what kinds of things you people plan to do in order to honor Freddie this Nov 24th? Anyone have any exciting plans? |
Daveboy35 23.11.2005 08:22 |
I will be playing every queen album all day tomorrow in honour of the late great freddie mercury, i can't believe it's been 14 years now since he's died. I will also be having a 2 minute silence at 6.58pm or thereabout to remember him. Cheers all. |

Fairy 23.11.2005 12:09 |
I will carry on with my life but I will certainly take some time off, for Freddie. I will certainly listen to A Winter's Tale, his final message of hope and joy. Tears may come to my eyes, but I don't see it as a particularly sad day. It's what he had to suffer that was tragic. That is what makes me cry when I think about it. On that day he was freed from suffering. And now, he is alive more than he ever was. Gosh he's all around us! He's bursting withenergy, and rocking more than he did at Wembly!! He is not gone. He is still there, happier and free from pain. He left too soon...That's for sure. If we could bring him back....but we can't. We can only remember him, tomorrow like on every other day, and know he's OK. Fairy |
Fairy 23.11.2005 12:11 |
its_a_hard_life, it's so cool you're going there! Yes please bring him my love too...Though I know the place where we are doesn't really matter...but I know it has a very big symbolic meaning. Thanks Ps. Watch out for Mary! She'll be mad if you write on her walls LOL |

I'm with Linda. While everyone else gets themselves with turkey and stuffing, this thanksgiving I will not eat and I will listen to queen and wear my Queen shirt. I will not speak of Queen at all tomorrow. :( |

What a terrible ''anniversary''. I'll always remember 11/24/91, and what a sad Thanksgiving that was for me and how I cried. I'll play my Queen CD's. In memorium Freddie.... |

In my country it's in the very early morning of Nov 24th now...(around 4 a.m.) For recent a week, I've been spending days tracing their early years by reading their biographies and listening to Queen cds in honor of Freddie. Freddie, R.I.P. You'll be admired forever and ever. You're the best! We love you!!! p.s. I'll receive the package of ANATO 30th ANNIVERSARY in a day or so. I'm looking forward to it. |

Well, its the 24th right now over is Australia. I've already watched the Live at Wembley DVD and intend to listen to much more Queen as the day goes on. Probably have a minutes silence at 6:58 as well. Try and make my family join in. Play "Who Wants To Live Forever" during this. Its days like this I wish I lived in England... By the way, today also happens to be my Dad's birthday... I feel bad about mourning but its not like I cant! RIP FREDDIE! YOU REMAIN NOW AND FOREVER MY GUARDIAN ANGEL! |

To those of you who are going to Freddie's house (It's a Hard Life and Miss Mercury), we thank you for taking the time to go down there. Remember how many of us really wish that we could be there with you. One of the things that I'm doing right now is to write to some radio stations and ask that they play something as a tribute to Freddie and Queen. We'll see if it works! |

Not necessarily something to be gloating about, but... I've got a day off from work (I work at a US call center), so I might bring my Zen Micro everywhere, and listen to solely Queen. Freaky isn't it, George Best will probably be dead by the end of today too... My dad is so wrapped up in his thoughts about him, I'm so wrapped up in my thoughts about our Freddie... so nothing I say to my family will be met with interest. I think I'm boring them with all my chatter about Queen. Well at least someone in my house will be thinking of him - me. |

Being Thanksgiving Day here in the States, I was w/ my family. I was sad for the fact my girlfriend/soon to be fiance' was 350 miles away w/ her parents. On my drive to my parents house I played Queen live in Cologne 1974 and wore my tshirt w/ the Hot Space faces on the front w/ the title staying power there as well. And gave thanks for the privilege of seeing their concert in NJ last month. |
