I hadnt actually noticed until a few weeks ago that apart for the apparent scar he has from having had a clef pallette he has a feint scar around his neck from having a trachaeotomy. I wonder if anybody knows anything about this... |

my god, Roger was born with a hole in the roof of his mouth? Maybe its God's way of balancing things out since he was destined to grow up in to a handsome devil. |

How is a tracheotomy scar different from a random scar from a broken drumstick one night on stage? (for example) |
CC1 20.11.2005 16:34 |
I dont know if you'll be able to see these but a friend of mine did some pics of me & my posters. link link |

OK, so you've posted links to what a tracheotomy is, now how about a link to a pic of RT showing a 1 inch vertical scar in the centre of the hollow of his neck? |
CC1 20.11.2005 17:36 |
Why not look at the posting 12 entries abouve yours. There is a pic & if you had read exactly what Id written I did say it was a feint scar |

Robin 20.11.2005 18:05 |
Hm. I can't see anything and trach scars are quite apparent, as well as cleft palate scars. Do you know he had these or are you guessing from the pics. First I've ever heard. |

Roger is really hot, anyway... Don´t care about his scar... He´s the sexiest man I´ve ever seen in my life and that won´t change :) |
dorahc 20.11.2005 21:44 |
the scar may have come from an early car accident he had before he was in Queen. Roger went through the windshield of the car he was driving. If anyone has the book, Queen: The Early Years, you can read about this accident. |

Togg 21.11.2005 06:53 |
Well have you seen a trachaeotomy scar? they are vertical about one inch long. Sorry but to state that Roger has had a trachaeotomy based on a fold in his skin is bloody rediculas, what proof other than your (medical) opinion do you have? Why in gods name would he have ever needed one? sorry but the pictures you displayed are nothing more than folds in the skin which we ALL get as we get older. Total rubbish |
Togg 21.11.2005 07:08 |
link He's a nice shot clearly showing Rogers head has been sown onto his body, unfortunately as seen here the first attempt wasn't too successful.:-) |
CC1 21.11.2005 07:12 |
Apparently I havent seen one.. Why the hell would I bring up this conversation if I didnt know what Im talking about. Its a scar that has faded over the years.. and I did actually say that it was feint scarring. He had it done as a child.Just because he doesnt talk about it,it hasnt happened. Yes I do know what one looks like. I work on an acute head injuries /neuro unit where 90% of my patients have trachaeotomies or have had one at some point. |

Look, I have the same mark on my neck it's just natural skin creasing. To claim anything else without any proof is... well frankly mad. Look at the palms of your hands, do you think those lines are all surgery scars as well? Besides, look at the links YOU enclosed and then look again at his pictures, they are not even in the same place. If you are a nurse, have someone take your temp, I think you must be sickening for something ;-) |
CC1 21.11.2005 09:42 |
I really couldnt give two hoots what you think. If you cant see it then fine. If you have anything other than insults to throw at people, then Id be glad to hear it. |
Togg 21.11.2005 09:53 |
I have no desire or intention to insult you, I am just amazed that you a trained nurse can claim something to be fact when you have nothing but poor photographic evidence to go by. Check the following link of Brian, note the same mark, does he have the same scare? or have we stumbled on a Queen plot, they have all had operations, that's how they sing so high! link Sorry didn't mean to make fun, but this is madness |

I just went through the pictures of Roger on this site and none of them show a scar. I agree its just a crease. |

I know that trach scars don't fade away. They are very evident right smack in the middle of one's neck. Cleft pallate scars are also very evident and don't fade away to where they are not obvious. |

I'm not trying to lay claim to expertise in any way, but I must say I think this is nonsense. I am a physician in an emergency medicine residency (and although we don't insert this type of adjunct airway, we usually call in the general surgery or ENT folks), I have seen many of these inserted and seen many folks with post-tracheotomy scars and I see no such resemblance in any of these photographs. All I see are aging creases. |
I_LoveRogerT 21.11.2005 15:30 |
I dont see any scar on Roger. I dont know of any story related to that either. |
Penetration_Guru 21.11.2005 18:15 |
You've posted three pics - one doesn't show the lower part of the neck where a trach scar would be, one has the relevant area entirely in shadow, and the other shows two horizontal creases consistent with the aging process. Personally, I know nothing of medical matters, having spent about 10 hours in hospital in my life (9 of them queuing), however somebody (the nurse?) provided a link to a description which shows that we're looking for a one inch vertical scar at the base of the neck below the adam's apple. As I already said. Any more pics to show us? |

Penetration_Guru 21.11.2005 18:59 |
Quick question... Wouldn't a nurse know how to spell cleft? (and ideallybut less relevantly, faint) |

Also, it is not a vertical scar, it's a circle. Like from a hole in the throat. |
Lisser 22.11.2005 20:48 |
I'll add my two cents....it's not a trach scar nor does he have a repaired cleft pallet scar in my opinion. |
queen-mad 4729 23.11.2005 18:55 |
I cant see any scars from a trachaeotomy but I have often wondered if Rogers scar on his lip is a result of a cleft. But I think its more likely to be from the serious car crash he and his friends were in, as teenagers. This is the scar I mean on his lip that seems to come and go, its usually more apparent when he's tired. Its most obvious in the I want it all video in the intial shot of them all in a line.. Like anything is when the immune system is low... link link |
