Damn it must be hard to say those words in a song when you indeed know that it's over, there's no turning back. What a brave man Freddie! Cheers. |

Yes... To sing "I long for peace before I die" in just two or three months before your own death isn't easy too, I guess :( |

Yeah it's so hard to sing The Show Must Go On too. I love that song and most people knew that the end is coming soon from that point on. |

For what it's worth, everytime I hear that line I start to cry because it reminds me of the relationship with my girlfriend...days that will never come back... |

It seems that the deepest, most emotional songs full of desire to live, anger, fear, and again joy for living, were written and/or sung by Freddie in his final years. This is what makes him so special...larger than life. The last song he wrote, A Winter's Tale, tells us about his joy for living, how he could find comfort in the simple things. Motherlove was the last song he sang, but he co-wrote the lyrics so that is his as well. There he expresses how tired he is of fighting, but he does not give up there either. Freddie is a hero of our time. There are many little big heros in the world, everywhere. Freddie can represent all of them, with the power of music that allowed his courage to be known to us, and allowed him to reach out to us. His strength and absolute dignity always makes me feel so humble. He is my model. Freddie I love you! |

our freddie, what a man, to now what he went through would be to know pure suffering, something which no one should have to go through. As he lay in silence at his bedside one can only imagine the thoughts going through his head. The thoughts of his friends and family and the fans he leaves behind, but do not cry for him, he went to a better place, he would only have wanted the best for all his devoted fans, he loved us as we love him and no one can kill the love that is between an icon and his/her fans. we will always love freddie, he was one man with a talent and an impecable voice which stunned many. He will never be forgottern and his memory shall live in that special place in our hearts, those days are all gone now but one thing is still true, when i look and i find, I STILL LOVE YOU, forever Freddie Mercury rest in peace my one and only, soon we shall be reunited again. |

Freddie showed us in the last three albums that he realised than life was more than fucking, fucking, fucking and partying...came back to the essential, came back to mother... |

And now, millions still think of him, remember him, and praise his spirit...he sure can feel that. Though he had to go through suffering few of us can imagine, still it makes me feel better to think he was and is so loved. I think of the people who suffer similar pain and are alone, nobody knows about their struggle, nobody cares for them in life and in death. Freddie is larger than life. The absolute best singer and musician, still he is like us in every other way. This makes him unique, precious, my model, my spirit guide... |

I think it must have been harder for him to do the video. He had even less time then, and by appearing publicly in the state he was in was kind of admitting it was all but over. |

Mother Love is a good song but I have 2 points to make on it. 1. "My woman gives me sweet mother love"...Wasn't he gay? 2. "I dont want to sleep with you" Kind of a strange line for a song about your own death. |

Second, Freddie was just reflecting that sex wasn't what it used to be for him...he just wanted to have someone near him who loved him and took care of him... |
