Of course it has!! They stole the show and made "Live Aid" that extra special. They kicked everyone else into touch with a brilliant set.
Live Aid will always be remebered as the day when they showed the world that they were the greatest live act ever. They should have topped the bill! 17 minutes of pure magical entertainment/rock'n'roll from rock's top showman. I was knackered just watching it!
Even The Sun newspaper gave them 10/10---Freddie the show stealer.
This concert has recently been voted the greatest concert ever by any artist of all time! because 70,000 were handclapping to Radio Ga Ga.
My only regret is that I wasn't there to see it!
Freddie's greatest performance in many people's eyes. He knew it was the perfect stage for him and that it was a global jukebox with over a billion people watching if I remember.
you absolutely must to go out and buy the Live Aid dvd today. But make sure that you get the one will all four disks on it. That way you will be able to see not only the Queen performance but also Freddie and Brian doing "Is This the World We Created?" You won't regret it.
It's obvious that Spawnie Boy does not understand much English. Maybe he uses a translator to read the answers here. If this is true, it was impossible to find the correct answer in the previous thread. A bit more patience with non-English speaking people would be nice.
In other thread first reply was mine and here it is:
"1) The Eye version? Yes, I suppose it's Freddie. Why not? Though it can be samples...
2) Almost complete. Policemen's intro is missing, etc. though.
Lets see what experts would tell you..."
I thought it was okay...
I think that's what he meant, there's a "highlight" DVD featuring select performances, but it is indeed chopped up and doesn't feature some of the best performances.
I can find the Live Aid DVD at Best Buy for about $25-$30. That's a good deal!
