Has anyone heard any more about new DVD-A releases? Is anything being worked on? Have they managed to locate all the 'missing' master tapes yet? The last rumours were of ADATR being Brian's next choice, but QII has also been talked about. It would be nice to hear something definite, given that we only so far have two albums on DVD-A.
I don't think the'yre currently working on it. They did remix a lot of songs in 5.1, but no complete albums are finished as far as i know. Guess the Q+PR tout thingy got in the way of that.
If Brian didn't have to oversee each DVDA project all the time and left it in someone elses's capable hands then we might see more DVDA realease.
But after the initial (AWFUL) 5.1 DVDA remix of NATO (without his involvement) then who can blame him.
But Brian isn't getting any younger and these 'digital markets' change so quick that they could easily miss out on potential revenue.
It's a shame because it's by far the BEST format that shows Queen off to their FULL.
Oh... you are most definitely NOT alone on that one, Z!
I agree, the dvd-a's for me are very very good. I wish they could forge on with at least a couple more.
Peace,
Adam.
Obviously I would love all Queen albums to be released on DVD-A but as long as they release :-
- 'Queen II'
- 'Innuendo'
- 'Sheer Heart Attack'
- 'A Day At The Races'
Then I would be extremely happy! :-)
