I've been to Cake, Christina Aguilera, U2 and Queen + Paul Rodgers. Cake wasn't that great, and I ended up leaving about an hour into it because I had school the next morning. They sounded exactly the same as the record and the support bands were absolutely awful... U2 was great, and I saw them at the Staples Center. I really wanted to see them again when they were here a few weeks ago, but the tickets ended up being probably triple what we paid in April. And Queen + Paul Rodgers was incredible! They were at the Hollywood Bowl and they've been the best concert experience of mine so far. I'm really hoping they come back to Los Angeles again. And now I'm working on getting tickets to the Rolling Stones in March. :) |

June 2003 Barcelona: My first concert ever, The Rolling Stones about 70.000 people, was the most exciting experience of my life! September 2003 Benidorm: Second concert, The Rolling Stones again, about 35.000 people, just as good as Barcelona! April 2005 Barcelona: My third and last concert Queen + Paul Rodgers, 18.000 people, finally the chance to hear some Queen songs live even though some years ago I would have never imagined it. Great day! Waiting for the Rolling Stones to come to Spain next summer...........will they still be alive? |

Mnd you, the Headliner in question was Billy Corgan and he was only playing songs from his dull (and then unheard) solo album. The Kooks Nine Black Alps ('Four White Prats' would be a more fitting description). The most memorable? Queen + PR and Guns N' Roses. Not just because they were excellent and had a setlist that was well ablanced between old and New, popular and obscure, slow and fast (etc), but for the sheer, 'I can't believe I'm seeing this' factor. (The former because I never expected to attend what amounted to a pretty authentic 'Queen' show in my lifetime, the latter because MR Rose actually turned up... and got trough an entire show). To come: Foo Fighters @ Earls Court next month. Rolling Stones in London next year. (Not confirmed in any way, shape or form, but I am determined to get hold of a ticket. (But I will not buy from any of these glorified tout ticket agencies). And finally, here a some gigs I went to with others in my younger days. DEFINITELY NOT of my own accord!: Elton John Michael Jackson George Benson Jason Donovan Kylie Minougue. |
