It's time for my next review, Innuendo. I'll rate the songs out of 10, explain the ratings, and then rate the album overall. 1. Innuendo - I love this song. Would have been fantastic live as well. Love the (not sure what kind it is) guitar in the middle (minstrel I think). Anyway this opener is fantastic. 10/10 2. I'm Going Slightly Mad - Very humorous song about a person going crazy, in a very interesting way nonetheless. Video is great as well. 10/10 3. Headlong - Personally not one of my favorites off Innuendo, but it's still got it's high points. Great guitar and great vocals. 8/10 4. I Can't Live With You - Great song again. Tried to catch a dream, but nothing's what it seems is my favorite line from it. Good song. 9/10 5. Don't Try So Hard - Moving ballad by Freddie. I get teared up when he sings "when your problems seem like mountains". Looking back you can tell what he was thinking about there. 9/10 6. Ride The Wild Wind - Interesting little song. I don't have much to say about it except that I like it. 8/10 7. All God's People - Many Queen fans don't like this one but I do. Kinda reminds me of Somebody To Love with it's vocal harmonies. Good song. 8/10 8. These Are The Days Of Our Lives - Emotional song looking back on life. Watch the video if you've never seen it. Freddie saying I still love you is something I'll always remember. Fantastic song. 10/10 9. Delilah - A song about Freddie's beloved cats. Granted if Freddie hadn't been ill, this song probably wouldn't have made the album. Still it's a nice little break from the previous emotional track. 8/10 10. The Hitman - The only real hard rock song on the album. The guitar work is awesome. I love Freddie singing "love me love me baby, I've been to the hitman school." Great song. 9/10 11. Bijou - A French word meaning jewel. The opening guitar is intriguing. Short song as far as lyrics but they're great. 9/10 12. The Show Must Go On - Similar to #8 in terms of lyrical meaning. Fantastic way to close out the album. Very emotional song again. 10/10 Overall, the album gives me mixed emotions when I listen to it. I think though it's the band's masterpiece, not discounting others like ANATO and such. Fantastic album. 10/10 |

you already proved to be unworthy of reviewing queen albums. Anyone who say's "the works" is a better album than "opera" or "notw" is a bit lost. innuendo-10 slightly mad-10 headlong-9 can't live-10 don't try hard-10 ride the wind-8 gods people-10 these are the days-10 delila-6 hitman-8 bijo-9 the show must go on-10 |

Thanks for your opinion. It's my personal taste that likes The Works over A Night At The Opera. That doesn't mean I think it's better. Anyway, stick to the topic man! |

Well, I can't say myself that I think Innuendo is quite the 'masterpiece' you portrayed. To me, the production on many tracks lets it down, namely, Hitman, ICLWY, and DTSH, which could have sounded so much more powerful. I think there are also quite a few tracks on the album which don't really gel - Ride The Wild Wind doesn't really go anywhere, All God's People is just plain sub-standard, and Delilah is just plain crap! That said, there are some great tracks on it, Innuendo, Headlong, Bijou, TATDOOL, and of course, TSMGO are stunning. Slightly Mad kind of sits in between, for me. It's neither very good, nor very bad, but as you already said - great video! Overall I would give Innuendo 7/10 as an album. |

Despite what 90% of QZers will say, I like Delilah. It is quirky, which is the quality that made Queen the band that it was, for the most part. |

masterpiece, there is no weak song here, for me Bijou is incredible song, many of them don't like it but I adore this song |

Do you have something better than doing review for albums and songs that we all know? I don't know plan a trip to Mars, growing clones of Cosmo Kramer? |

finally someone agree's with me about "all god's people" great song. All the great queen trademarks are present, also Delilah is a nice ballad. |

The Worst line in a queen song EVER is in I Cant Live With You."And nobody's winning we're just sinning against ourselves".It is just so awkward.Like they didnt have time to find the line they wanted. The delilah lyrics are crap, but that is one of my favorite brian solos next to lazing on a sunday afternoon. |

Having said this, the song "All Gods People" pretty much sums up the thing that i believe in, and by this time i feel happy that with all the suffering the band were passing at that moment, they somehow managed to make a song with a very beautifull and powerfull message! But i was not refering to this, what i meant to say was that even if you don't understand the lyrics, the song really guives you that extra energy and power because their vocals are really powerfull and soulfull! well this is my review thomas quinn so it's my personal taste. Did I say "Professional Music Editorial Review"? No, I said album review as in I'm reviewing the album according to how I think it is. Thought that was clear enough but I guess some people just don't get it. |

Innuendo is Queen's best album- heavy, orchestral, dramatic and with so much sincerity. Simple as that. |
