Hi someone contacted me the other day asking for help for an assignment at school they are doing. She wanted me to ask you how old you are. She wants it broken into age ranges - so you can just type the range or your actual age if you want to. Thanks for helping her out - the project is on Queen fans but she needs statistics to back up what she is saying: Under 15 15-18 19-25 26-40 41 and over Thanks and regards Isis |

i am 42 years now.... I saw Queen live the first time on december the 8th 1974, as support to Mott the Hoople, in the congresebouw in The Hague...and after that another 96 times...i guess that it is one of the most amazing things these days, that even with Freddie gone, Queen still attracts thousands of youngsters every year, knowing they will never ever have the luck we oldies had to see THE man live...yet their music still brings people together....i think that's a miracle. |

16th November 1974 - Ian Hunter collapses on stage. 23 November 1974 - Mott the Hoople call off their tour 28 December 1974 - Mott the Hopple split up, not having played a gig since November. 3rd November 2005 - Bas explains how on 8th December 1974 he saw a band that had already played their last concert some weeks beforehand(?). |

Ok time for me to make an entrance I think. I am the girl who has the English assignment. I have to write a feature article to ‘provide a justification for the inclusion of three songs in a CD that represents Australian youth.' Of course being a Queen fan I have chosen Queen songs now I must justify why I have picked them. Lyric wise they are easy to prove but now I must verify why Queen. I’m basically saying over the past few years there has been a major queen revival with WWRU and now the Queen + PR Tour also I’m going to quote Brian May with what he said on the tour 2005 cd about strange sense of time and how most of us weren’t even around when they last trod the boards. Hence youth becoming Queen fans and then I was just wondering exactly how many youngish Queen fans there are to include as a statistic to back up my argument. Appreciate everyone who posted thank- you very much Kathryn |

26-40 .... The DREAMWEAVER is 37 years .... YOUNG! Back in '68, I was born (to love you) with a SMILE. (Yep, I saw Earth before April, Lady and got a little Polar Bear that I could cuddle ... I guess I was Doing Allright!) When I was 7 my father played "Bohemian Rhapsody" over and over again ... i loved it (esp. the Gallileo bits + the rock part!) In '78 ( at the age of 10 ) an older cousin of mine gave me a tape ... it was "Jazz" by Queen. In '79 I ask Santa for the 7" single of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and ... YES ... I got it! Santa also gave me the brand new double live LP "Queen Live Killers" .... WOW, I recognized all songs that I knew so well from my cousins tape and this was the same band that made "Bohemian Rhapsody" ( !!! ) I knew for sure: I AM a Queen Fan now ... and FOR LIFE ... FOREVER ! You only asked for my age, so I'm very sorry if I bored you with a little story about a guy that is a Queen Fan since 1978 .... ;-) Cheers to you all & keep up the good work! QUEEN RULES ... FOREVER AND EVER!!!! |
