;_;...thanksgiving has to be on THAT day, of course...f-ing pilgrims...but we shouldnt mourn...we should celebrate his life and everything he's done for us. say a litle prayer to the god of sex and go on with your day knowing he's right there with you ;) |
mystic_rhythms 02.11.2005 14:47 |
Let's see...November 24... Thanksgiving Day here in the US... Freddie died on this day in '91... I was born on this day in '87. I'll probably play my entire Queen collection all day. I'll have my iPod with me, and every time i get a chance, I will play some music. Both Queen and Freddie's solo stuff (Mr. Bad Guy is a fantastic album!) I'll try to be happy, because it will be my birthday, and also it's thanksgiving. God bless you freddie...you will never be forgotten... :) :) :) |

As for me, I am going to do the same thing for him that he have done for me if our roles had been switched: Have a drink. PG, I am visiting Europe after Christmas, fancy a drink together? |

I'll be at work, but the following Saturday is our official Freddie day, so then I will be getting hideously wasted with a couple of friends whilst listening to the entire back-catalogue, the same as I have done for the past 6 years! |

I will arrive in London on Dec28th, stay for a week then visit the UK for three weeks maybe... Then, at some point, I will fly to Amsterdam, then train to Brussels, then Aalborg, then Berlin, then Warsaw, then Prague, then Budapest, on to Florence and/or Tuscany, then Barcelona and end up in France before returning to London by the 16th march to stay another week and see London in (hopefully) warmer weather. I return home on march28th. |

I will go about my day as usual, but I will steal a few moments for myself, and Freddie. I will certainly play beautiful A Winter's Tale: it inspires so much peace, it's so full of love for life, and the last word Freddie says is "bliss". Bliss is what Freddie has in Heaven. Death anniversaries makes us sad. However I feel that Nov. 24th 1991 was not really a sad day. It was the day when his suffering finally ended, and his spirit was released. Fairy |

Oh sorry, I forgot, Ill spend three hours in tears writing on the Freddie Tribute section on here then prepare my lunch - doh! |
Fairy 04.11.2005 06:48 |
OK guys, it is clear and obvious that we are all going to carry on with our lives, on the 24th as on any other day. Still, for some of us that will be a very special day. There's nothing wrong with that. |

I'll probably forget, like I do every year. November 26th or 27th rolls around and I go "D'OH!" and slap my forehead as hard as I can. The guilt leads me into an immediate Queen marathon. |
Fairy 04.11.2005 15:27 |
Yes I too forgot once. I was about to leave for a great trip to New York and I was so busy and thrilled I forgot. The funniest thing is that the following night I dreamed of Freddie. He was in my house, downstairs. I was upstairs and wanted to go talk to him but I somehow couldn't. I woke up and in the afternoon it hit me..The 24th! That was a great coincidence. Sure felt kind of guilty...but you know, life goes on and I guess a couple of days don't really make a difference. |
Sherwood Forest 05.11.2005 10:57 |
thats weird i had a dream of him too that reminded me. kind of similar t took place in my own house too. so i decided i would have a glass of Moet for him |

I'll play Queen songs and do as many Queen-related things as possible... maybe watch a concert with my family, after all we should celebrate Fred's life. And I'm certainly going to post an entry in my blog on MSN Spaces regarding Freddie. I should really donate to an AIDS charity too, because didn't Freddie tell us all the day before he passed that he wanted us to fight against it? |
