Which was your first Queen song you've ever heard? How old have you been? Which Year? I was 7 or 8 years old in 1984 and it was Radio Ga Ga '39 We Are The Champions Don't remember which one of them was the very first. |

mad the swine march of the black queen great king rat lap of the gods (both) '39 i first found a CD in the city on the road when i was like 3 and i kept it in my jacket even though my parents yelled at me- because someone dropped it thats what they tell me and i threw it in my room and found it like 2 years later and had a listen. kind of a funny story when i think about it. Otherwise it was bohemian rhapsody, bicycle race (used to go around on my bicyle singing that), WWRY, WATC from the football/baseball games i used to go to and all the others on a mix tape i had from christmas when i was 3, it also had like the spice girls on it. my mom used to play it for me to go to sleep with- still have it actually.... (no my parents arent Queen fans- they acutally hated Queen until i made them listen to it. Actually no one in my fanily at all has ever heard of Queen, theyre all old and into the beatles(not anything wrong with that though!)) |

Another One Bites the Dust...when I was 3, I guess. My sister had The Game on vinyl, and we used to dance to it when we were younguns. I didn't become a big Queen fan until much later, though...pity. As I recall, that record got sold at a yard sale. |

Very late 1977 & early 1978. WWRY/WATC. I was 9. I wasn't a fan & had no clue who Queen were. I was riding home from a Phila. 76ers basketball game. It was on the radio in the car. Later in early 78 I moved to a new school in 4th grade. We were allowed to play music before class started & we played this 45 record over & over everyday for weeks. I still didn't know it was Queen. I didn't care about that at the time. Three years later I truely discovered them & became a full blown fan in 1981. I haven't looked back for 24 years. |

Hmmm....either Keep Yourself Alive or Killer Queen, on the radio. Either way it was 1974. I think I actually heard Killer Queen first. I heard Ogre Battle somewhere in there too. |

Not a song as much as an album - I bought Live Killers because the picture on the back looked like it rocked. I'd never heard anything like it, and still haven't to this day. |

First song was Killer Queen. I heard it from the radio of the people next door in 1974. From the first moment with the sound of the signing guitar, and that magical voice all I could do is press my ear agains the screen to hear it. From that moment I was hooked. The rest is histroy |

Don't stop me now, 1979, I was 9. At the time I didn't understand english, and I thought the DJ was saying the group was "Wings", instead of Queen. The interesting thing is that while "The game, hot space, were being released, I was also listening to Queen I and II, and loved every note coming from them. |
Saint Jiub 02.11.2005 00:34 |
Killer Queen in late 74 or early 75. At the time, it was just another good song from a "one hit wonder". I was 12 just starting to really get into music Sitting alone, watching that light My only friend through pre-teen nights ... I heard it on my radio. |

other than the songs that are everywhere (we will rock you...) my first real queen listening experience was the summer of 2004. i had been listening to a christian parody c.d. and there was a parody of borap. i was so in love with it and after hearing other people say that it wasn't half as good as the original i went out and bought the greatest hits one two and three collection. that gave me a good overview of queen and started my collection. it's hard to beleive it's only been ayear and a half. mary |

2004. November. These are the days of our Lives, followed by WWRY and WATC sung by paul. Well, those are the first where I actually realised it was Queen. |
its_a_hard_life 02.11.2005 07:53 |
We Will Rock You - 1999 When FIVE and Queen sang it. But i dont count that as my proper first Queen song, probably be Boh Rhap when i saw it on VH1 in 2003. Fell in love and from there became a hugh fan. |

The very first Queen song I vividly remember was Another One Bites The Dust. My mom was taking me to Kindergarten and we heard it on the radio. I thought it was so cool. Not long after, my brother and I went to a double feature with Superman 2 and Flash Gordon. I remember singing the Flash....AH AH line all the way home. |

BoRhap. Had it on tape when I was six years old (1984). Loved the weird opera bit, I remember. Then in 1988 Breakthru was a hit and I liked that song. I realized I now liked two songs by the same group, so I decided to become a proper Queen Fan. |

I remember, as a kid, hearing "Another One Bites The Dust" on an 80s collection CD commercial. I remember thinking how strange Freddie looked (AOBTD video was shown) Then, my Dad and I were testing a record player for a yard sale and he gave me The Game as test fodder because he "didn't care if it got scratched." Shame on him. But, after a few listens, I found his other Queen albums Jazz, NOTW and a ADATR and I was hooked... |

Killer Queen - 1974 I recall playing the 45 over and over...and over. At the time I remember thinking it sounded "new" or futuristic ! |

The first time I consciously listened to a Queen song was on November 26, 1991: the day before we knew about Freddie’s death from the TV news and my father said “Hey, he was a good singer, we should buy a CD…”. So my first song had been A Kind Of Magic on GH2, I was 11 and since then Queen continue to brighten my days. My only regret is of not being born 10 years before, I began to appreciate them too late…:-( |

I travelled to Japan Christmas of 1976 , and I told my cousin Akiko, I wanted to listen to some music. She said she had this great album I would enjoy, A Night at the Opera. The first Queen song I ever heard was Death on Two Legs. I was mesmerized and listed straight through to the end. A life long fan was born. |

It looks like, for a lot of us, it was Killer Queen in 1974 that introduced us to Queen. I remember that it got a lot of airplay and thinking that this was a band with a unique sound. The song definitely had a futuristic sheen to it as well. |

Bo Rhap, I think. I was 9 at the time. But I really got into Queen in a big way, a couple of years later. |

My older brother brought Sheer Heart Attack on the day of release and played it constantly. I couldn't get away from it as we shared a bedroom. I was eight at the time. He fancied himself as a bit of a rock musician and played guitar in a band and was constantly practicing Tenement Funster. a couple of years later I was made to sit down by my next door neighbour with headphones on whilst he played me The Prophets Song. From then on an interest in the band became more of an obsession. My first concert was with my neighbour, on Boxing Day '79 at the Hammy Odeon when I was still only 15. |
