What is the best concert bootleg CD available pre 1977 of Queen. I have read that ‘Zoom’ the Japanese March 1976 concert is the best in sound with a great performance. Any others?
Zoom indeed is awesome.
Hammersmith is soundboard. Same Rainbow 31-3 (great but not full gig)
Golders Green 1973 is a must ahve
Tokyo 1-5-1975 is a perfect set list (with hangman, Great king Rat and See What A Fool... all at one gig!)
Thanks everybody. I have 75 and 77 on DVD with great sound. I meant pre News Of The World - so Earls Court counts and is a great gig. I will look for Rainbow March 74. I will definitely get Zoom the tracklist looks great. I have DVD of Rainbow November 74 - it is ultimate Freddie and the boys. Can’t stop watching it.
I'd say Rainbow'74, 01-05-'75 Tokyo, Hammy '75, 31-03-'76 Tokyo, Glasgow '77, Earls Court '77, if you meant before NOTW tour.
Especially in 01-05-'75 Tokyo, Queen played Great King Rat, Hangman and See What A Fool I've Been. These numbers are rarely-played ones.
Personally, I like 29-04-'75 Shizuoka as well. Freddie is singing in a different way from the album ver. in some numbers and especially interaction between Freddie and the audience is fantastic in Liar...

The soundboard bootlegs is:
Golder's Green 1973.09.13
Rainbow 74.03.31 (though there's some rumours saying that this is audience, but I doubt it)
Rainbow 74.11.20
Hammersmith 75.12.24
Hyde Park 76.06.18 (which isn't as good as the the other ones)
And how about famous "sit down" bootleg? :) Waterbury with not sucha good quality but the guy (and later few of them) cracked me up first time I've heard it :)
31-3-1976 in Tokyo is also a must (great, GREAT quality, exceptional in fact)
