Sherwood Forest 26.10.2005 16:31 |
city of blinding lights and a lot of their older stuff |
Music Man 26.10.2005 16:33 |
I like the songs where they replaced all their members and called themselves Queen. Everything else is shit. |
its_a_hard_life 26.10.2005 16:37 |
Oh yeah i like there older stuff too, forgot to mention that lol. |
Mr.Jingles 26.10.2005 16:40 |
I'm probably one of the very few who thought that 'Boy' was their best album. It might have been their debut but their sound was as fresh and original as can be. |
LiveAidQueen 26.10.2005 17:08 |
I like the stuff from 20 years ago, like War, now they are a bit overrated. |

Mr. Jingles my fav album will always be "War" was my first U2 vinyl. And it was a introduction to the band. |
Mr.Jingles 26.10.2005 18:46 |

tia 26.10.2005 20:31 |
My son made me a cd of songs from the 80's. I love it. He made me one from the mid 90's and recent, but I dont like it as much. |

All of sudden the band became a mockery of themselves, and with all the techno and electronica crap it was hard to take them seriously. |

They came back strong with All That You Can't Leave Behind and Atomic Bomb is even better. And i think my least fave is Zooropa. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 27.10.2005 01:21 |
I love U2...I love almost every album (yes, including Pop! I actually like Zooropa, too), but I haven't really warmed up to October. Achtung Baby and Joshua Tree are two of my absolute favorite albums. :) And The Unforgettable Fire is also awesome. |
Mr.Jingles 27.10.2005 08:28 |
Personally I thought the only good songs on 'Zooropa' and 'Pop' were 'Stay(Faraway So Close)', 'Please' and 'Staring At The Sun'. Everything else was lame and weird. I have no doubt in my mind that 'Numb' is probably one of the worst songs ever. I cringe to the thought of a song with crappy techno music and The Edge mumbling words like a drunken idiot. 'Lemon' just proves that Bono can't sing falsettos, and for those who thought Freddie on 'Pain Is So Close To Pleasure' was annoying, you haven't heard anything yet. Yet the worst thing about U2 in the 90s was definitely Bono as Mecphisto. While Bono spent most of the 80s standing up for human rights and preaching for social causes, all of sudden he decided to become some sort of silly demon dressed up with glitter outfits and humping cameras on stage. |

Do I Like U2! Has 50 Cent been shot 9 times? My favorite band next to Queen! Bono is my favorite singer next to Freddie. Best songs.... Beautiful Day Pride In The Name Of Love 2 Hearts Beat As One 2 Sunrises Bad The Sweetest Thing One The Edge is one of my favorite guitarists too!!!! HEY..I know we all boo hiss Rolling Stone Magazine, but Bono is this week's COVER STORY! and it's an amazing and longer than usual interview for any magazine to do on any artist. He goes in detail about U2's music, career, his own life, how growing up in Dublin, and how religion and the relationship he had with his late father affected him and his music. And whether or not you agree with his political stance, you have to RESPECT how very intelligent and on top of the issues he is with world affairs, from war to poverty to George W. Bush, to the Pope. No disrepest to alot of politicians, but Bono is keener, more involved, and more knowledgeable of foreign policy and world politics than alot of elected politicians. Excellent interview. |

The reason why politicians are assholes is because they seem to love power more than they love their people and their countries for that matter. |

My favourite songs are Vertigo, Exit (a little known gem from The Joshua Tree), Gone, If You Where That Velevet Dress and The Fly. I also love The Ground Beneath Her Feet, which is one of their best love songs. I think Slamn Rushdie wrote the lyrics and it was used for a film called "Million Dollar Hotel". |
