I've made a replica of the wretched "'39...Please" banner from the "Live At The Bowl" home video that gets held up during the whole thing even though they never played it. Now that they ARE playing it I thought it would be funny if Brian saw that banner in the audience again :)
It's got wooden stakes on each end to hold it and I'm just wondering if for some reason they wouldn't let larger items like this in...if they don't then I don't want to carry it on the shuttle bus for nothing....

well if you watch the Milan DVD, it shows someone holding up a huge banner saying "was it all worth it?"
so you must be able to!
I would imagine the security has no problem with cloth or soft cardboard as long as there are no pointy sticks attached to it, but a few people in the audince might be annoyed to see your banner instead of the show. :P
I got a banner into the NJ show - didn't hold it up until the very end, though 'cause I didn't want to block the view of everyone behind me. It was just canvas - no sticks - so it was very easy to get by security even though they were saying that you couldn't bring in signs. Go for it - Roger saw mine at the end and gave "thumbs up".
Well I got it in...the first security guy didn't want me to take it so I threw it in their large trash can. Then some people started booing and this really cool female guard came over and told me to take it and everyone cheered :)
