Killer Queen really is like a Noel Coward song on acid, it has that vibe to it. I was wondering if anyone here was a fan of the guy. He basically directly and indirectly influenced generations of brits I think.
I'm so glad you brought this up, as I'm a huge fan of Noel Coward. I would have dearly loved to hear Freddie singing songs like "Poor Little Rich Girl", "Parisian Pierrot", etc., etc. But alas it was not to be... Ah well nevermind - at least I have Freddie's Coward pastiches to listen to...
i think Good Oldfashioned Loverboy, Seaside Rendezvous and Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon are more in the 'Coward' vein
i like Monty Python's - 'not the noel coward song'
'here's a little number i tossed up in the carribean.....isn't it awfully nice to have a penis...'
