Question: Do you guys think, assuming that the tour next spring extends to Canada, that Queen and Paul Rodgers / TicketMaster will offer VIP/Platinum packages, like those from the 2 shows in New Jersey and Hollywood, during some select shows?
Eww..I hope not. They are SO freakin' expensive. I'm hoping for some general admission shows, so I would at least have a chance at getting near the front without having to pay so much. Man..I am SO hoping for an actual tour. I would go crazy! :-)
No meet and greet?!
Then what WAS/IS in the current Platinum package(s) then??
ED: Btw. I know they would be expensive, but I can easily afford it if they do a show like that near or around Edmonton, Alta., since our provincial gov't is giving out $400 CDN ($340 US / £195 GBP) to everybody in our province at the end of this year as a gift, since we made so much money in royalty revenue from increased prices in the oil industry.
It would be probably less affordable or inconvenient for me if, say, Queen and Paul Rodgers DIDN'T tour Canada, but only USA next spring. I say that because:
1) I would have to book either a Greyhound bus trip or a flight to the state nearest to Alberta that they would be playing, depending which is cheaper if I book early
2) I would need to apply for a passport so I can travel outside of the country
3) I need to get my birth certificate from the province I was born in, and that's gonna be costly, but not as much as the passport will be! :O
It's not that I wouldn't be able to afford such a trip (as I do get disability pension from my gov't otherwise each month), but if they DID have VIP packages, or Golden Circle seats even, at any of those shows, I probably wouldn't be able to afford anything above General Admission price if I had to travel to the United States, which would piss me off.
But there's always hope at the end of the light...so you never know.
My guess is they will be doing the VIP thing at most shows. The Queen audience is aging and has more pocket money than 25 years ago. Plus they are willing to spend more for a comfortable seat up close. Queen would be fools not to offer the more expensive seats.
After all, it is all about money.

Basically, you are paying to be near the front during the show. There is also a backstage tour, signed program, dvd/cd/single boxset thing, and a poster. Plus, there is a 30% discount on the tour merchandise and to see WWRY. It doesn't add up to $600 if you ask me, but I don't care anymore. I have no regrets..:-)
