Daniel Craig link WHO?????? |
David Jones 11.10.2005 16:06 |
Layer Cake ring any bells? Hes no James Bond. The last I heard it was gonna be Pierce Brosnan again... Just gotta guess who does the theme tune now... |
Sirk 11.10.2005 16:25 |
This bloke looks more like a .....um......badie if that makes sense. Meh i dunno probably just me. |
Penetration_Guru 11.10.2005 16:43 |
The new James Bond is......still unconfirmed. |
Victoria 11.10.2005 17:26 |
Craig looks more like the schemeing antagonist. His motivation for wanting to take over the world and rule is he can't get laid. Like Woody Allen in the spoof Casino Royale. Come on!! James Bond's gotta be sexy. This guy is not James Bond. |
Mr.Jingles 11.10.2005 17:30 |
That dude can't be Bond. Even Jason Biggs has more Bond appeal than him. I was actually expecting Jude Law to be casted as the next Bond, but I guess not. I remember reading recently that Pierce Brosnan wasn't very keen on doing another Bond movie, but he would take the offer if he was paid $50 million for the next movie. MGM thought that was way too much and rejected Brosnan. |

David Jones wrote: Layer Cake ring any bells? Hes no James Bond. The last I heard it was gonna be Pierce Brosnan again... Just gotta guess who does the theme tune now...The October 2005 British GQ has an interview with Pierce Brosnan, ane he alludes to the ''falloing out'' with EON films who own the rights to the Bond films over his asking more money, them saying he's too old, them making this all up as a PR ploy that Pierce wasn't doing Bond anymore, to get the hype factor going and was a marketing ploy/Spin Job... ...and that he IS back in Discussions with Eon Films/Prouductions again, and most likely will be back for a 5th Bond film after all. |

I think Elvis Costello should do the theme for the next Bond movie. I would fit in quite appropriately, I do believe. |

iGSM wrote: I think Elvis Costello should do the theme for the next Bond movie. I would fit in quite appropriately, I do believe.Elvis Costello doing a James Bond theme? That should go along with Daniel Craig playing Bond. Kinda like Metallica singing 'My Heart Will Go On'. I think 2 artists perfect to do a James Bond theme are Sade and Simply Red. |

Arlene R. Weiss wrote: Pierce Brosnan...and that he IS back in Discussions with Eon Films/Prouductions again, and most likely will be back for a 5th Bond film after all. Those talks fell through. He will not be back. That happened months ago. An official announcement is supposed to be made within several days that Daniel Craig is the new James Bond. Even if it is not him it is pretty much a guarantee that Pierce Brosnan will not be back as Bond. |
John S Stuart 12.10.2005 12:24 |
'tis a pity Craig Charles accepted "Coronation Street"! |
doremi 12.10.2005 15:50 |
is.... Weiss, Arlene Weiss Hey, why the hell not? M is now played by a woman, Dame Judy Densch! Why not cast a woman :D And all kidding aside, what happened to the James Bond spinoff movie that was supposed to happen with Halle Barre's sexy spy character Jinx from ''Die Another Day'' that all the press was saying was going to happen? |
PieterMC 12.10.2005 15:52 |
Hopefully the idea died. Die Another Day was awful. They got caught up in crazy stunts for James Bond, that looked totally fake. It was certainly one of the worst James Bond films IMO. |
iGSM 12.10.2005 23:41 |
Agreed. I do rather like Goldeneye as my favourite Brosnan movie. Right amount of Russians, right amount of Walther PPK's. I like it. |
Munchsack 13.10.2005 04:51 |
WHAT?!?!? NOT ECCLESTON?!?!? |

She was well-named "Jinx" IMO! Better if she stuck to modelling calanders. |
Flashman 13.10.2005 05:14 |
Imagine how I feel... They obviously required someone debonair, handsome, suave and sophisticated. And I wasn't even shortlisted. |
iGSM 13.10.2005 09:51 |
I don't think you should have consumed thoes 9 Martini's at the audition. |
doremi 13.10.2005 18:13 |
Oh please, when it comes to dashing and debonaiir, sexy, I make Emma Peel from The Avengers look like a lightweight. I obviously was overlooked for the role, or when Eon productions sent my manager the script, it got lost in the mail. LOL! |
PieterMC 14.10.2005 08:47 |
The new James Bond is Daniel Craig: link |
Rockyuk 14.10.2005 10:29 |
He's a good actor, I bet he does a good job as james bond. Since Goldeneye james bond films have been rather poor, I hope it all changes now. |
iGSM 14.10.2005 10:34 |
Agreed with the post Goldeneye stuff being tripe. |
doremi 14.10.2005 14:24 |
link Ugly, Lousy Ugly, acronym for Craig, Daniel Craig. link I swear if they cast Robbie Williams as Bond it would have been better. Couldn't have bee any worse. At least we know he's a ham who likes to act. |

the_hero wrote: As long as the dude can act, looks aren't important.Sorry, Acting may be important, but Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby, and Pierce Brosnan were also all HOT!!!!!! and that IS essential to the role as well. Somehoe I can't picture fugly Craig getting his squirrel a nut bedding the fab beauties Bond gets, without laughing he's so damn ugly. |

Well, he's shagged both Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, so the women obviously dig him... |
Ian R 14.10.2005 15:04 |
May I add that it really gets my goat when people are so judgemental about about other people's looks or taste in fashion, etc - especially when they may not be particularly special themselves... As I always say: "If you can't take it, don't dish it out". Ian The Ugly Bugger. |

Bryans Permed Poodle wrote: Never heard of him bit like Paul RodgersLMAO! I want to start my own rant boycotting Daniel Craig as James Bond! I read another article yesterday that said that in a poll taken in BOTH the UK, and the USA, something like 5% of people had ever heard of him and that like 90% of people did NOT want him. OK, I realize that EON Productions and the Broccoli family who own the Bond film rights, could not get the actors they and the public wanted like Hugh Jackman (who was the #1 leading contender), Owen Wilson and such. But, you just don;t MISCAST a film that cosys this much to produce. If it flops, they will lose their shirts. Better to keep trying to properly cast the role, maybe even with a total newcomer/unknown, as EON originally did some 40 years ago, with a TRUCK driver from Scotland, and aspiring actor whose FIRST role was in a WALT DISNEY film, ''Darby O'Gill And The Little People'',.... ... by the wee name of Sean Connery. |

Rockyuk wrote: He's a good actor, I bet he does a good job as james bond. Since Goldeneye james bond films have been rather poor, I hope it all changes now....but all Bond films have always been poor. Even since the Connery era just about every single film is exactly the same: - Film starts with Bond escaping miraculously from a suicide mission. - Movie credits are shown with dark shadows of curvy sexy girls dancing, guns, and a fire background while some jazzy bluesy Bond theme is being played. - Bond meets M at the MI5 headquarters to be assigned his next mission. - Q introduces Bond to the newest gadgets he will be using on his mission, along with some fancy car with tons of gadgets as well. Scenes with Q and gadgets are the most commercialized in Bond films since brands like BMW and Rolex have used it to sell their products. All scenes with Q and Bond have the best comic relief moments in every 007 film. - Bond goes on his mission and meets with some sexy chick who will apparently help him, but will end up being an enemy spy (most commonly a Russian chick). Remember, all Bond films have a good and evil love interest. - Bond goes to some party where he drinks Martinis. - Bond bangs the evil chick. - Bond realizes the girl he just shagged is an enemy spy. - Bond is in trouble and is being chased by land, air, or water. - Bond escapes and later meets a young attractive girl who will help him. - Bond and the good chick go to the enemy's headquarters for the final face off. - The enemy is defeated and their headquarters or hide out blows up in pieces. - M sends the MI5 to rescue Bond. - Bond hides somewhere with the good chick and bangs her while MI5 is searching for Bond. THE END |
Rockyuk 14.10.2005 18:51 |
Why the fuck are you all judging him on his looks? He cant be any worse looking than roger moore anyway... Least he aint ginger for fuck sake. Personnally im glad he got the job, he's a very talented actor, and hopefully the next bond movie will be worth watching. It really dosnt matter what he looks like, he's not deformed or anything, its the acting that counts, not his appearance. And all the people that are judging him by his looks are hardly models themselves. |
Taylor-Mayed 15.10.2005 09:47 |
I've never been to see a James Bond film in the cinema and have only sat through a couple of them on television, but Daniel Craig's presence might drag me to one. I'm a great fan of his, and have been ever since the utterly wonderful "Our Friends in the North", which is of course possibly the best thing ever made anywhere ever. So from "Our Friends..." we've had Eccleston as Doctor Who and now Craig as James Bond. What next? Mark Strong as Sherlock Holmes, perhaps? |
bohemian 11513 15.10.2005 12:06 |
Let´s call it "Bond, James Bond... + Daniel Craig" from now on...! Ok? :-))) |
