Yeah, After a long battle with depression and other things, I finally got to see my Shrink today, and now I am back on my meds, Citalopram for the depression and Chlorpromazine for my other problems, of course these will make me slow and unable to think, but it is a small price to pay for relief from the crap I have been going through for the last 10 years. it was a mistake getting off these meds in the first place, so, basically, Megamike or Mike Preston as you knew him is gone.. after tonight I will be a totally different person a BETTER one, more relaxed, calm, no feelings of suicide or anything,
I want to thank you all for putting up with me for so long as I was a major ass, my mood swings were getting scary for ME, and that is saying something, so I want you to have a great life, I doubt I will have the desire to even get on the computer anymore, I know I didnt want to do much last time I was on these.
bye everyone, its been nice, and this isn't just one of my many many exit posts, this just happens to be one of my I am leaving cause I GOT THE HELP I needed posts.
Take care Mike. I do understand what you've been going through. I myself choose to go it alone and seek internet therapy as you have been. I found that medication made me unable to orgasm without a major workout, so I opted to be depressed and masturbate freely instead. But to each his own :)
Best of luck and I do hope you'll come back when you feel like doing so. After all, there's are a few folks around here who seem to be well-balanced mentally (very few) so it is possible to be here without strictly using it as mental therapy.
:)
Excellent Mike. You've got to do what's best for you. It'll take a while for the medicines to build up in your blood stream...so give it a bit, don't get frustrated.
We are all always here for you!!
:)
I assume Chlorpromazine is what will make you unable to think, as antidepresants should not make you slow in my opinion or experience. as Lisser said the medication will take a few weeks to build up and become effective. As you probably know I have successfully treated with Prozac and lithium for over 16 years now ... and have not bothered with a shrink for several years but received my meds withought therapy from my general practitioner instead.
Good luck and try to have patience
