I just got a replacement for my 10 year-old copy of Made In Heaven from Amazon.com and low and behold.. it's got a cool CD tray with 6 Queen logos embossed on it! WTF?
Just wondering if anyone else has seen these.. perhaps on other releases?
I wish they all had this now.. it looks so cool.
I just bought a new made in heaven too (got lost from it's cd...I forgot what you call the container thingie but it got lost from that and I stepped on it, stupid me). I went on ebay and bought a new one and it had it on there. I just thought it was like that cause I didn't buy a hollywood copy like my last one I bought the EMI release so I just assumed all the UK copies were like that.
Basically, it's jus the usual release of it with the "Q" (from the more royal Queen logo from Queen and Queen II) embossed on the black edge of the CD tray (down the side of the CD, to the left of the booklet).
All copies should have this, especially from real shops like HMV, Virgin etc, but places like Woolworths and Tescos (where the CDs get bashed and broken more often) sometimes don't because they need to provide CD cases that work and dont fall apart - and the replacement CD cases are just the usual plain boring ones.
Up here at Canary Wharf, and in my local shopping centres (Bexley Heath, Bromley and Bluewater for any who are at all interested lol) have the embossed cases still.
I tend to avoid these CD-cases. I really dislike them :) Now only my "Queen Rocks" CD has something embedded/embossed (???) in the side of the CD-Tray: "Queen Rocks"
Thanks for finding that, Barry :)
That's the one! I was just shocked to see anything personalized like that especially for an older release.
They've changed Innuendo around a bit through the years too. There's been versions with white trays, white label discs, regular trays and silver printed discs.
And of course the Hollywood logo keeps changing too. I hate that my rebought discs don't have the complete original design.
