Are the old vinhl queen records worth anything or will they be worth anything. i have just bought queen, queen2, sheer heart attack and a night at the opera on vinhl - orignal copies and in brilliant condition. will they ever be worth much.
Don't know if they are worth a thing I do own some really old vinyl bootlegs are they worth anything (Tokyo Rampage, No news is good news etc)?I know the recordings are widely spread but if somebody is interested let me know
The regular editions of the regular albums are basically only worth a bit when they are first pressings in mint condition.
When it's different sleeves or coloured vinyls or anything it's a different story. Those fetch considerably more money.
Old vinyl bootlegs can indeed be worth some nice cash. Depends on which one it is.
Titles like the ORIGINAL Sheetkickers or Geisha Boys for instance, (you know; those realy old ones with plain white sleeves with copied paper artwork glued on them) go up to in the hundred euro's. But the thing with bootlegs is always that they have no cathalogue-value like official releases have. It's always a matter of what somebody wants to pay for it.
Regular albums probably not... too many of them released... maybe in 100 years... Singles are more likely to get expensive, some of them are alreadt highly priced... It pretty much depends how rare vinyl is- if it's a UK edition of Rdaio Ga-Ga 7"- that's a cheap one. But say French "Bohemian Rhapsody" with a little girl on the cover- and we're talking bussiness...
Sometimes it's pretty funny- Polish edition of "The best Of..." costs about 25-40 pounds in UK if i'm not mistaken, but... I can buy in Poland for like 3-5... I'm sure it may be similar with other local releases... Very often people also don't know what they're selling... I managed for instance to buy Yugoslavian "You're My Best Friend" for... 15 ounds! And it IS original :)
Well they are priceless to me! I have all of mine up in an album frame...although the album frame is worth more than the actual record...but I couldn't imagine selling them.

Jeroen. Is this version of Sheetkeeckers rare? link
And this version of Geisha Boys? link
Cheers,
Rick
A big, fat YES to both of them! :-)
(Both are the first issues =read: the rarest versions= and although Sheetkeekers has some tape-stains on it, they will still put you back for at least 100 euro's... EACH!)
