Question for those who saw few gigs or maybe have most (all) recordings. Which gig was in your opinion the best so far, showed the band in the best shape, had the most energy? We all can agree I think that Sheffield WASN'T the ultimate performance... So? From the 7 I saw (Brixton, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Sheffield, Wembley, Hyde Park) IMO Hyde Park had it all- great music, atmosphere, surrounding- and the band played exceptionally well! I also liked atmosphere in Manchester. From those that I only heard on bootlegs and wasn't there- Arnhem sounds a great gig.. What do you guys think? I guess I'm asking because we all had our favourites from previous tours with Freddie and some of the gigs are being mentioned constantly and being widely considered as the best ones, the others are for completists only... I was wandering which gigs from 2005 would be the ones to get the recognition... |

i thought Hyde Park rocked!! from the audio i g ot and the DVD it rocks big time, my personal fav, but then i could always say Newcastle since that was the one i went to and my first queen gig :P |

I've seen quite some of the shows myself and by now heard all of them on bootlegs... I can now with hand on my heart say that musically it was Cologne (the ONLY night on the entire tour that saw a flawless Last Horizon!!) and Arnhem by far! (Arnhem musically was maybe THE best show as a whole - though it comes second for me because of technical problems and some disastrous fuck-ups by Brian (TYMD and Last Horizon) I expected it to be the best one, but I have to say that Hyde Park to me was a little bit of a small disappointment MUSICALLY after Cologne and Arnhem had been so exceptionally good... |

I really think that Ahoy Rotterdam is one of the best gigs, ... both musically as in entertainment as in the venue itself |

Not technically too good but I think the band rocked big time and were really excited playing in Vienna. Prague was good aswell. I haven't listened to any of the open air shows yet and some of the indoor ones but these are my choices at the moment. See ya, Wiley |

I went to Hyde Park it was fantastic the BEST for me! The audience was wild and LOUD! Having Peter Kay was great made me laugh my head off with the mixed tape with recoreded Freddie singing and Razorlight did ok... Just everything about it was amazing! HYDE PARK WAS THE BEST! |

i've heard some bootlegs...and from what i've heard...i'd have to say eaither Hyde Park, or Barcelona. althoughhhhh ROTC is great..so maybe sheffield was a good show.... just wish they'd come to seattle!!! |

I Was in Barcelona, it wasn't that good in my opinion. I think the shows got better and better while progressing on the tour. Musically i say Cologne and Antwerp were the best. Atmosphere was the best in Arnhem, Rotterdam, for the shows i've seen. |

Well I went to see them at the C.I.A in Cardiff and they were excellent and then saw them at Hyde Park and was blown away. I have also listened to 'Return Of The Champions' and have to say that this sounded like and excellent show also but for me, Hyde Park literally rocked!!! It was a combination of things for me. First of all, Peter Kay is my favourite comedian and it was just a perfect start for myself, as he was his usual hilarious self. Razorlight were good and entertained for then Peter Kay to come back on as Brain Potter from one of my favourite comedies, 'Phoenix Nights'. Again, had me in tears laughing. By this point I was having an amazing time and this was even before the magical main event! When Queen and Paul Rodgers came on stage it was electrifying! I personally thought Brian, Roger and Paul were musically and vocally spot on, even better than they were at Cardiff. The lighting was also excellent and seemed better than it was at Cardiff. There was a chemistry between all and it showed in all their performance. On top of all that, the audience was excellent, the atmosphere was spot on, the inclusion of 'Imagine' was special, the whole occasion was very poignant with what had happened the previous week in London with the bombings and this was highlighted with an outstanding version of 'We Are The Champions' at the end, which showed some of the emergency workers on the screen during the song! It was also amazing weather, great food and beer and here comes the slushy bit... I spent the concert with the love of my life, so I could not have had better company for the magical day either! So all in all, a perfect day and a perfect concert. If only Freddie was there but hey, C'est la vie! I just hope, pray, beg and wish the full Hyde Park concert gets and official DVD and CD release!!! And if beggars can't be choosers, then bootleg PLEASE!!! |

The band seem to enjoy themselves especially in Vienna and Prague. Audience - I'd say Italian gigs were the best :-) Munich wasn't bad either. Setlist - Dublin had the ultimate setlist with almost everything :-) Cologne - how about Brian's terrible start of I Want To Break Free? :-) |

I've seen 3 shows, and IMHO Rotterdam was the best show: 1.Ahoy - rotterdam: Great performance, best audience(65% of 1984/86 Groenoordhallen-leiden) 2. Geldredome - Arnhem: Good performance, great audience(no't so great stadium, soundwise)(55% of 1984/86 Groenoordhallen-leiden) 3. Le Zenith - Paris: First euro-date and a show in progress, sound oke, audience nice. )(40% of 1984/86 Groenoordhallen-leiden) |

I've been to Antwerpen and Arnhem : Antwerpen : musically this was really a very good show. I think it was better than Sheffield. Nice audience Arnhem : Great show. Paul was stunning. Great audience and very good acoustics. The sound was amazing. BUT there were some technical problems and cause of that Brian got a little nervous (I think) and made some mistakes. So musically Antwerpen was better. ROTC : Listening to the ROTC cd I think this was also one of the best concerts of the tour. Also a great audience. |

Half of it was people who just left Bingo Club, on their way got a Greatest Hits album (Platinum Collection) and had one or two listens... Half (or more) of the crowd didn't know what "I'm In Love..." was, it was quietest version of '39 I've heard (3 times less people in Brixton made more noise), and got really lively only during "Radio Ga-Ga" or WWRY / WATC... I just went to 2 - Brixton and Manchester. I felt something was lacking from the Brixton show, I can't put my finger on it, but I just didn't come away thinking 'WOW'. Manchester was much much better, I had great seats and the crowd were, as ever, a great one. |

However, I still thought it was very good; even if it is possibly the worst show. |
