Anyone agree with Axl Rose. I think he's one of the greatest rock singers ever unlike Paul Rodgers who can't sing for toffee |

Exactly why did you join this forum? |
deleted user 30.09.2005 18:03 |
No but to be honest Paul Rodgers does struggle to sing Queen songs. It's not as pure as Freddie so don't go biting my head off, cos they are two completley different singers (well Freddie can sing). |

i love Rodgers interpretation for Queen songs, i really enjoyed ROTC. no one can replace Freddie, that's for sure - but Axl Rose? he sucks. and he's fat like a whale as well. |
Maruga 30.09.2005 20:51 |
Axl????. I notice you don't have idea about music. He and Guns 'n' Roses sucks!!! |
Red_Special227 01.10.2005 00:59 |
Look Paul is no Freddie, WE GET THAT! God all you friggin people. Brian just wants to expand Queen not replace it. Besides Axl might be a legdend but Paul is a much better singer, I mean come on Axl's whole legacy was built around his raspy falsetto, at least Paul uses his real voice. |

"Replacement for Paul Rodgers" John Deacon on vocals would be good replacement... |

Munchsack 01.10.2005 09:32 |
Not saying I love Rodgers. I like him. Wasn't my first choice. However, I like hearing Queen songs sung differently. Not as good as Freddie or anywhere near, but interesting to hear. |
Mr_Bad_Guy_91 01.10.2005 11:08 |
axel taking over i dont think so Queen and Pr want a good life not hassle like this News: Slash, Duff Sue Axl Over Guns N' Roses Publishing Royalties "Slash and Duff McKagan filed a federal lawsuit in Los Angeles on Wednesday against Axl Rose, accusing the GN'R frontman of changing the publisher of the group's copyrighted songs without their consent and pocketing the royalties." you think Queen would like that i dont think so also axel went into hospital for mental health problems QUEEN and PR ROCK !!! get that mr poodle |
deleted user 01.10.2005 12:42 |
I like axel, but he does not seem to have the great color facet in his voice (meaning going from high, to bariton and much more)somewhere Paul has that, ofcourse Freddie was the specialist in it... |

I always thought George Michael would be an excellent choice to carry on the memory/legacy of freddie |

How about Ozzy Osbourne? |
Joeker 27.06.2006 16:19 |
Guys, I'm sick of this bashing of Paul Rodgers crap, quit whining. You should be happy that Queen is still touring and still alive...besides I always that Rodgers did a better Live version of another one bites the dust than Freddie and I stick by that. Plus I really like his renditions of A Kind Of Magic, I want It all, and The Show Must Go On. |
deleted user 27.06.2006 16:53 |
How about Max Raabe? You should really hear how beautiful he sang We are the champions: link link Looks good, doesn't he?? :-):-) |
Nathan 27.06.2006 16:55 |
Sometimes I think I watch ROTC more than the Queen DVDs If a studio album comes to fruition, I'll be first in line to order/pre-order it. Anyway, who brought a BPP thread back? |
~im a fool~ 27.06.2006 19:53 |
i hate paul rogers. i mean as a singer for queen. he cant handle the complecated notes that are in most queen songs. i mean he totaly butchered we are the champions at the concert i went to. the first couple lines i couldnt even understand. maybe its just me. what do you think? |
deleted user 28.06.2006 07:06 |
Look, I don't understand why people are saying Paul can't sing. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest rock singers. I personally can hear it when I listen to Free albums. Maybe some of you who are unfamiliar with Free should try listening to them and see if that changes your mind. |
Going Back 28.06.2006 08:33 |
1. Jeff Scott Soto 2. George Michael 3. Morten Harket (a-ha lead singer) these could do the job, imo paul really sucks these songs... i like the way he sings dragon attack and some more but most of them sound worse than even on freddie tribute concert. i'm happy when they tour again and i will definitley go to see them but paul just can't get this job done, Jeff could do it. |
deleted user 28.06.2006 10:04 |
even as I find Paul Rogers as a man who did a good job ill bring up a few names. 1. maralin manson 2. James Blunt 3. Pete Doherty If any of thses filled in I would guarentee you all would be wantin Paul back |
FreeSpirit328 28.06.2006 10:25 |
I like Paul Rogers; personally I think he does a great job, but if there were anyone else up for the job, I'd say it would have to be George Michael. |
deleted user 28.06.2006 15:20 |
Yeah, in my opinion George Michael would be the only other singer up to the task. I think though that we'll stick with Paul. |

Anyones better than Paul. When I went to the Queen +Paul Rodgers concert, Paul was singing Crazy Little Thing Called Love and the guy infront of me screamed "Ready Paul!" at the part that goes "Ready Freddie!" So I threw my soda at him. |
