Most definately the live killers version it has got more emotion, power and sheer harmony in it's delivery and it's one i play very often.
Gives me goosebumps everytime i play it Top class from brian may.
Second one would be live at wembley.
Best live release would be Live Killers indeed.
The best unofficial one would be from Chicago 1978, the best Brighton Rock/Instrumental Inferno I've ever heard.
I think the best officially released version of Brighton Rock was definitely the one they played at Live Aid...
For once there was no unnecessary extended fiddling with the guitar solo, and Brian concentrated on the actual song.
i wish someone would teach me how to play it :-(
can anyone help?
i have the stuff for the delay etc, just need to know how to actually play it lol

If I'm correct (and this is a big fat honking 'if') you're talking about the two chords he usually plays in fast succession during the end of his stage solos.
These are high A's and D's, I think. Basically, you can achieve this sound using 'cowboy' chords, but played one octave higher. Like - up high. It takes a bit of practise to achieve the switch nice and fast the way he does it, but once you've nailed it you are laughing!

It's a part of the Queen performance.
I've sometimes wondered if fans really enjoyed Brian solo's. After seeing the Rotterdam concert and seeing all those fans screaming enthousiastic during the Brighton Rock solo I'm quite sure people agree with me.
My favorite Queen material of any kind always are the Brighton Rock solos Brian plays. As much as I don't care for Live Killers as a Queen show, I do think it has the best Brighton Rock ever done.
