Best: pretty much everything.
Worst: Some songs during the the final albums, Freddie's death, and the travesty known as "Queen + Paul Rodgers"... quite horrible!
P.S.- Hot Sapce is completly underrated... sure it has a couple of bad songs, but hey! doesn't every album?
Well... I'm not with you on the whole bashing "Queen + Paul Rodgers".. we have to give them credit for at least trying to out again... Maybe he wasn't the best choice for lead singer..(I wonder, where was Joseph Russo in all this process of choosing a new lead singer.. :S)Anyways, for those of you who don't know who he is, he is the Freddie Mercury impersonator of "Almost Queen" (Check them out --> link ) Well, I do agree that Freddie's Death was absolutely the most devastating thing that could've happened to music as we know it. I wish I could've gone to one of his concerts.. although Live at Wembley was pretty much the best Queen concert I've seen (in DVD of course)... and well Hot Space I do not like very much.. and well I really did like the Made in Heaven Album.. that was a nice one... Well.. that's enough for now... Have a Nice Day Madman!...
The one thing I can think of that I really didn't like of theirs is anything they did with Elton John. But that was after Freddie died, so it really doesn't count!
Seriously - I can't think of anything they did wrong in their career, they just did heaps of stuff that pissed people off, and those are the things I *really* like about Queen.
Playing Sun City? HELL YEAH, that was one heck of a good move. I love hearing uptight assholes going 'no they're supporting the evil regime...' blah blah blah. They had the right idea, trust me.
Dressing in drag for I Want to Break Free? So what if America didn't 'get it'? In my view it's another career high, it's just so damned funny.
Their 'royalty of rock' behaviour that so used to incense those assholes at NME in the 70's... again, I cannot fault them. You only live once, you might as well enjoy a bit of champaign during a show (I can't abide that "Is This Man a Prat" article. It's full of shit).
Everything about Queen from 1973-1995 kicks arse. Those losers who were into Punk in the late 70's used to shit on Queen, so what did they do? They did "Sheer Heart Attack", which was BETTER than the rest of that crap! Stick it!
If you want to waste time crapping on what someone did 'wrong', then yeah - you'll eventually come up with a nice big fat list, but that begs the question - why the heck bother?
