Ok... I know this is straight out of the "who gives a shit files" but what I want to know is, who is 1) For the Queen + PR tour 2) Who is against the Queen + PR tour The reason I ask, is that if you guys will notice, Permed Poodle will post a wild ass topic about someone burning in hell for this current tour.... 10 of you will tell him to fuck off, but then...to my suprise, 2 others will say "I'm against the tour also".. So this is a simple question, you don't even need to go into detail if you don't want to... just a simple FOR or AGAINST is all I would like to see. thanks |

You forgot the "I'm against the name of the current tour" -option. :P Personally, I'm happy that Peter Paul and Mary have hit it off so well. I just don't appreciate them calling it Queen (or Queen+Paul Rodgers). Thank you. |

I'm for. Never saw the real deal, so to see Bri and Roger doing the songs is the best I'll get. Not upset by the name, as I can understand the reason behind it and am not so irrational as to let it get to me. It would, however, bother me a bit if they released new material under the Queen name. That might sound hypocritical (especially after No One But You which I like), but there you go. I'd still buy it of course :-) . Just call me a stepford.... |

I like it. Don't care about the name, there are bands that I listen to as often as Queen (just don't collect them), so it's all about music for me... I saw 7 gigs, enjoyed them THOROUGHLY, drank incredible amount of beer in GREAT company at every one of them... Why would I bother about the stupid name? I don't care what someone is going to write n some Encyclopedia- I've got my memories and no-one will ever take them away from me; they are much more important for me than some stupid biography line or chapter...I'm waiting for a new album as well. As for BPP- the flower pot has more IQ... I don't ahve problems with people who are against the tour as long as they don't hit the "QUEEN RIP, i know Freddie better than anyone, even Brian" stuff which is pathetic... As long as someone says "it's not for me"- I'm cool with it. Same way I'm cool with people who prefer chocolate to cookies... But I really dislike few idiots who can't make sense in any sentence and should really take a chill pill before typing endless tirades about "what REAL fans think"... Back to topic :)- I'm for, can't see anything bad with few ppl who paly rock together... We've got more serious "problems" in this world... :S |

i think Brian Roger and John have earned the right to do what they feel is best but i am against the tour. Havent got a problem with them using the name Queen in fact if they made up some other silly name i would feel its stupid and pointless and it is Queen+ not just Queen but i personally do not like Paul Rodgers and am against but like i say its up to them i wouldnt want to go and see them but it doesnt burn me with rage either! |

Who are they then? They are just as much of Queen as the four of them. Its not thier fault Freddie died and John does not want to participate. They are playing the songs that they wrote as Queen and keeping Queen alive. They also are letting younger generations who were not even around when the four of them were together become fans of Queen. In my opinion it wouldnt matter who they got as a frontman or what they called themselves,they would still be criticized. |

Brian & Roger were never as close with John as they are to each other. I am for it because this will probablt the closest I ever get to Brian and Roger. Paul isn't Freddie but he is a good singer and he really seems to respect Queen. It could be worse, they could've called themselves Queen, but its not, its Queen + Paul Rodgers. |

I was going to suggest this yesterday, Sharron! Then I was going to suggest a war between the sides, filled with intellectual battles, etc, at the end of which, none of it really would have mattered, because Brian and Roger don't give a shit about what the "pros" say, any more than they care about what the "antis" say. Queen+ is happening, it's a great success, and most importantly, two of our greatest idols are having fun again in their golden years. Incidentally, I'm against the use of the Queen name, but hey, that's only cause I think Freddie would hate seeing someone standing in his place and singing his songs. But carry on Bri and Rog!
