I remember that since I was very little my dad never missed an episode of 'Get Smart'. It was a really funny show.
When it comes to James Bond parodies I'd take 'Get Smart' any day over 'Austin Powers'.
And the voice of one of my childhood cartoon favs. ''Tennessee Tuxedo'' (DAMN I sound old!)
Well, glad he lived a long, active life.
RIP Maxwell Smart. :(

Well, if that makes YOU feel old, imagine how I feel.. Phinnias J. Whoopie, You're A Genius..
my dad was shocked that I remember Tennessee Tuxedo, but as I told him, I GREW up watching Underdog and Go Go Gophers, and such, and TT was right with them, along with Bullwinkle show, that was another MUST see cartoon..
I used to be able to do a SPOT on impersonation of him, right down to the facial expressions.. I think he was one of my first influences that WASN'T a cartoon.. A lot of people seem to either forget or just never knew he did inspector Gadget, oh those that do, just don't admit to watching it.. lol..
edit: I had to change Dead on to Spot on because it just didn't sound cool to say that about a man that just died.. unless it was BPP, then again, I DID say MAN..
It's funny, but ever since I was a kid I thought that whoever did the voice of 'Inspector Gadget' was trying to sound like Maxwell Smart (Agent 86).
It never crossed my mind that it was actually him.

Think it was the beginning during that theme song, da da Da, da da da (going through my head), as he walked down that corridor if I remember well).
I loved his shoe phone.
