Not really. From what I saw it was actually alright. You have to give a new series time to grow. Dont forget that "Fools And Horses" was pretty iffy in the beginning too and was due to be axed after the second series cause it was pulling in less than a million viewers
The Green Green Grass Is Crap because -
First: it asks us to buy into the "Only Fools And Horses" myth. So we have Boycie and Marlene escaping from Peckham and living in the countryside. Fair enough thought I.
BUT - it then asks us to "Buy out-of" the "Fools And Horses" myth by giving the couple a son, and we all know that Boycie was a Jaffa. (Seedless).
Therefore, to work, it has to be either one or the other. It can not do both at the same time.

I don't really think it's that good. My family love it, but I've been watching Only Fools since I was a baby and nothing really comes close. Even the specials they did a couple of years ago I don't like much because the magic isn't there anymore and loads of the cast were dead or not in it.

I like The Green Green Grass. It's different. Spin-offs usually arn't quite as funny as the series they spun from. So far though i think the Green Green Grass is great. Hope they make another series next year.
