Does anyone else think this song is brilliant?I mean, QUEEN doing blues rock? Versatile but it works IMO. Th version I have is a bootleg where Freddie says "we're goin to leave you now, with a number called...." so I ws wondering what others thought?
Is this the only cersion of QUEEN doing blues? Apat, of course from all the Free songs, but thats another story!!!!
some demos are blues-y but i think see what a fool ive been is the only one with Freddie only doing lead vocals, I can't remember the names of the other ones. Anyone remember?
If we're talking piano stuff...
Take My Breath Away I wouldn't really consider
blues.
On the other hand, I think Melancholy Blues would be
I see 'Queen Blues' as more-or-less relating to the true genre. (Dreamers Ball, even FBG)
...in my opinion.
It seems like you people have a hard time distinguishing between blues, jazz and gospel lol. Buddy My Melocholy Blues which you called 40's blues is 40's jazz to give you half credit.
Crazy Little Thing... is a blues-based song (R'n'R).
We Will Rock You basically has a blues pattern.
Stone Cold Crazy, too.
Fat Bottomed Girls, but only slightly.
Sleeping On The Sidewalk is pure blues.
Guess there are some more, but My Melancholy Blues definitely is none.
Bye,
Nummer2
Based on the logic you nutcases are brining you can argue that 99% of all the dsongs in the Queen catalog are blues since rock is a step child of the blues.
Its better live (probably Golders Green Hippodrome or BBC). Freddie sounds too camp on the b-side version.
